Alright. I might give that a shot as well.

Thanks!

Yep. It doesn't run as long to empty the carb. Plus it's cheap insurance that the motor don't flood.

You do that in addition to ditching the vacuum petcock?

I stick a inline on/off valve from autozone/etc. Lawn mower section. I put it as close to the motor as possible. This allows for the fuel to be shut off and the motor ran till the carb is empty. This has helped with keeping the sticky stuff off the float needle from ethanol. Much less problems with the motor flooding out.

Awesome! Thanks, guys.

Quadsport must exit to the front. The 250 and 500 racers exit to the rear.

No need to go Yamaha. Quadracer 250 and Quadsport 230 petcocks fit perfectly, as well as almost all other older Suzuki non-vacuum petcocks. However, between the Quadsport and Quadracer, one exits to the front and one exits to the rear, and I can't think of which is which right now. We put whichever one points to the front on our LT80. Works perfect!

As a warning, don't use a Zilla petcock. It's much bigger than the others, and you would not want to deal with clamping that big of fuel hose on the little LT80 carb.

I have one from a Yamaha blaster on my son's lt80. Works good. only real issue is that the "on" pickup tube is pretty tall. So It quite often just stays on reserve. As far as the hose I just used the stock one and stretched it to fit the Blaster petcock.

I have read a Banshee Petcock will replace the 80s vacuum operated mess. The problem is that you have to use large hose to fit the Petcock and then really clamp it down on the carb. I have also read the LT 160 petcock fits and has a hose fitting that matches the 80s carb.

Has anyone used the Banshee or 160 petcocks? Do they work?
