It can be done without removing the head, so you'd only need to replace the base gasket. Pretty easy

Well the reeds on an 85-86 are inside the cylinder itself. So you will be needing to pull the cylinder and install them. It's not a hard job but you would need to drain coolant and than be needing new base and head gaskets. Worth it... probably. But that's up to u.

I have an 85 lt250r that has an fmf pipe and air cleaner on it. I am looking for reasonably priced performance. I understand that there's not too much you can do to this year and I'm eventually going to upgrade to a zilla. Reeds? Heard to also get a 39pwk? How hard are the reeds to change
