Before and after pic of an FTZ pipe I picked up that was really rusty but was hardly ever used the guy just let it sit since he bought it. Black OEM hood. Graves seat cover - Jeff Graves with graves motorsports still makes new seat covers if anybody is interested I have his number, great guy to deal with. Couldn't afford pro pegs yet!! Haha thanks man! Not as much time into it as there is money lmao jeez this thing is a never ending money pit but I'm super happy how it's turned out! Only thing I need to get on there yet is some graphics besides a few small things

Thanks a lot! It is 250r geometry it's a narrow frame lsr 250r front end but everything else is suzuki. It uses suzuki swingarm and rear end. The only thing honda is the front end and the pro peg nerfs

Haha man I wish I knew when it would be here but as u know the guy is dragging his rear on this... as far as front end I've pretty much decided to keep with the jp/lsr theme and think I'm going lsr dc4 +3 arms with fox float evols so I can have the adjustability to drop the front end for ice racing without sending the shocks out for service. Any other input on a front end setup would be great guys!

I hope so too! Kinda interested in trying out the MHR pipe that comes with it as well. Buying a front end for it is next on the list and then some nice plastics

Didn't know how many chances I'd have to get one again. I'm beyond ecstatic to get this build rolling! It's also coming with an 87 big reed LRD built 265 so I'm not sure what motor I will run but either way I'll have a nice backup! Thanks! It was not easy! Stuck my arm up inside the pipe and used that little brass auto body tool you can see in one of the pics to gently beat the hell out of it until it was practically gone! One of the tack welds on the badge is broke but otherwise good as new

No I believe it's a very old school ftz high flow intake from way back in the day but I'm not positive. Ftz built the motor and worked over the carb so I imagine it was one of their intakes but the welds aren't the prettiest so I don't know

Title: 1991 FTZ LT250R flat track resto
Post by: DaveRock330R on August 29, 2016, 07:46:50 pm: Hey guys just figured I'd start a thread for my restoration of the old FTZ flat track Racer'. This quad deserves to be brought back to all its glory so that's what I hope to do! The frame was **** in multiple spots which I patched up last winter but it's time to fix it right. Fresh powdercoat throughout and new bearings and stuff like that. My plan is to go white with the frame and swingarm and keep the laegers a arm's chrome and keep the red plastics. Still not sure about the frame color but white would look sweet I think. Started tearing down last night
