I remember the snail pipe from the 90's being different over the similar design "outlaw" they sell today. From a marketing standpoint Snail pipe is a horrible name.

I never heard to one be referred to "snail" but I'm pretty sure you are talking about what is now called CT outlaw pipe setup.
Its a cool looking pipe and sounds great, Its mainly for flat track as far as I know.
I like the idea of the all business short out of the way setup, But kinda feel it would kick up to much dust and maybe even making bit of mess with the oil spoodge?
Not sure never been around one long enough to see only seen one once like yourself, maybe someone on here uses one would be good to hear more feedback about the outlaw...

Has anyone ever used or seen a CT LT500 "snail" exhaust? I saw one at the dunes once, pretty odd how the silencer exited right in front of the motor between the frame rails. Like the name says the pipe/silencer was rolled up like a snail in front of the engine.

You are correct sir. Power Pro's was indeed bought by Trinity.
I contacted them and I was asked "is that a 2 stroke?". I asked for Harry. They were like "who?". Harry was the man and they didn't even know him.
Here a big group bought out Trinity and Trinity as we knew it is no more. The new owners bought it for the pipe building and are only interested in SXS exhaust.
I was told to call back in 8 months and "maybe" interested but doubtful.
This was a year ago or better. :(

Doesn't surprise me.
Power Pro's used to make his LT80 pipes and they were fine. Seeins power pro's are no more, he's obviously moved on. I have no clue on who is making pipes for him now.
I do know that his new LT80 pipes suck too.
My understanding is that Donnie Kistler (Power Pros) sold his pipe building business to Trinity a couple of years ago

Yea, that is **** poor customer service especially after paying $400.00+ for one of their pipes.

Good to know, was thinking about purchasing a pipe from them in the near future. They won't even let you return it if you take pictures and show them the poor fit and finish?

So I bought a CT Racing Exhaust just to try out something different from my FMF pipe. Did a lot of tuning and test rides. Even talk to CT. But nun the less the pipe is a poorly made pile of ****. The welds are ugly and it didn't set right on the bike at all and doesn't have enough mount to hold it in place so moves a lot and gives you a loud exhaust leak. Tried to send the pipe back to get my money back and they said No. even thou I didn't even have it more then 30 days. So I would not recommend anything from CT Racing.
