You will not be able to use the stock air box with this new set-up.

Just ordered the intake boot. The lt500 boot looks angled. Do I need a new air box or an adapter to the existing air box?

You will need a carb boot for an 88-90 Zilla

About 9 years ago I completely rebuilt my 88 250 motor.  I bought a Q pipe and a keihin 39 PWK carb.  After all that life happened and it sat.  I have recently got everything together and ready to go.  I have a few questions.  First,  Do i need a new intake boot or is there a way to modify the one I have to work?  This carb just will not fit.  Next, Where do I start with jetting?  I am basically at sea level, Q pipe basically stock cylinder.  I know these are probably dumb questions but all my searches are for tuning the carb to a 500r.  Thanks for all your help in advance.  I am very excited to get this together now that my kids are at riding age now.  Im sure as I build this quad up I will have many more questions.
