I found Duncan's web page with potentially useful info.  I'm going to do a little research and find a few pics of fenders.  I found pictures of a dark blue hood, but not fenders.  Ill post up what I find.

ddrslapp got back with me, he said the original rear fender tape set for the 88 or j model is the dark blue/purple. mine is all original but it had a black tape set on it. any ideas what is what, or does anybody have any pics of the dark blue/purple. just curious to see what it looks like.

Try ddrslapp he makes reproduction decals. He's on e bay and someone here should have his # too.

    just curious to see if any body knows wher I can get the black rear fender back grounds for my 88 500,  do I have any options other than making them myself.
