DO NOT run the factory washers. You are right about them falling apart. They billet thrush washers sold in the store on this site ARE the way to go. I believe people use a RM250 wrist pin bearing. I don't remember what year though. Need to drill a couple holes on the piston skirt to oil the wristpin and bearing. Squish should be corrected also. The engine reliability thread covers all of this and more. If you need any assistance Carl (aka iceracer) out of NY is the man you would want to talk to.

Hello. New here and I'm rebuilding my 86 lt250r engine. I'm in need of the thrust washers sold here (out of stock) and was wondering if/when they would be available again. Or, are there any alternatives besides the factory washers? I've read the factory washers are crap and have a tendency to break apart...Thanks for any help.
