You can always buy gasket material in sheets, usually from auto parts stores, and pretty cheap at that. However most people on here recommend running cometic metal base gaskets. After I got mine I would recommend the same. they seal very nice. and I believe that if you go onto cometic's web site or call them they will make you a gasket whatever thickness you could want.

Is there a DIY base gasket for 85-86. I know gaskets are reasonable but I had good luck with the gasket I made for my 89 plus I like being able to use the thickness I prefer. Thanks
