What swing arm options are there for the 85' & 86'?  All I know of is Lone star.  I don't mean to hijack your thread but I think the info I'm asking about could benefit you and me since my stock 86' swinger has hairline cracks in it and I'm in need of a new swinger.

z400 rear shocks only work on the 91+style swing arms. it wont even work on my 90. the 85-86 are very limited. and I do not believe there are any to fit that style. I ended up getting my stock one rebuilt. I would recommend doing the same. If your going to put forth the effort into swapping a shock you might as well also change out that weak 85-86 swing arm if you have not done so already.

he is asking about the rear, not front.

look into a z400 rear shock, might work.

I was wandering could I change the rear shock off of my quad with a rear shock from another quad? If so what could i swap it out with?
