If you have fuel, fire and compression.
Then timing needs to be verified.....  Check to see if the flywheel key was sheered or not installed during the reassembly.

Well if you have fuel and spark all you're missing is compression, do a compression test and go from there.

no, it doesn't act like it wants to start, but its getting fire and fuel

as far as rebuild, we did everything but the crank and bearings. as for the kicking, it was normal, and fuel and fuel oil ratio 93 octain fuel and oil was 34:1

How extensive did you go on the rebuild? How does it feel when you kick it over? What fuel and fuel / oil ratio were you running when it quit?

top end rebuilt. ran for 1/2 hour and quit. gets fire and fuel but wont run. think its compression but not sure. looking for suggestions. thanks.
