I ended up rebuilding the carb... Found out it is a 36MM Mikuni and changed the jet up one size... Works perfect now.

I had rich ideling problem with a stock build and a fmf pipe. I replaced the needle jet (nozzle) .

does the bike run with a little bit of throttle? And when u let off the throttle does it die out? Mine was the same way, it turned out being the pilot jet. The pilot jet controls fuel from idle to 1/4 throttle I believe. I went one size up from stock and it seems to be just perfect. I did buy about 15 main and 5 pilots for the changing weather temps

Sure you didnt lower the pilot size?  increasing the pilot will add more fuel usually bogging it worse.

When u pull the pilot out let us know what it's at.. Might be stock size, also make sure it's cleaned out. I had to run a single strand of wire through the hole to clear it. Carb/choke cleaner wouldn't even spray it out so I had to clear it that way. I think that stock is 48 pilot but I'm not 100% anymore.

Changed both the plug and spent some time adjusting the air screw... Helped but still doesn't like idling... Ill mess around with the jetting a bit... Never got rejetted after I installed my Paul Turner Pipe

How does plug look. If turning air screw does not work you will need to change jet size.

Probably just need to adjust your air/fuel screw.  The small flat headed screw.  Start the bike and adjust it while it's running.  counterclockwise will raise idle.

Anytime the temp changes +- 8 or so, seems like i need to tweak it a bit.  It doesnt take much. 

you may want to set it first just so you know how many turns out you are (if you dont know already).  screw it all the way in and turn it back out 2 full turns.  let that be your starting point.  if you go more than 3 turns, you'll need to install a smaller pilot jet.

I have a 1992 lt250r and I have a PT midrange pipe, FMF silencer, Stock carb, sprocket and jets (as far as I know). Quad is bored 1 Mil over and is ported and polished... V Force 1 reeds, custom air box. Stomps all banshees that I have raced that are slightly modded/stock. However, I have never been able to get my quad to idle correctly... I always have to press the throttle just a tad to get it to idle. I have messed with the idle and has not been successful, i dont know if this is a carb issue? Do I need a bigger one? Or is it a jet problem? Or both.... Any info would be appreciated thanks....

Also had my powervalve adjusted by a shop.
