I bought one of these. Great price and cools a 500 no problem....after I had the mounting brackets cut and rewelded to fit correctly. Even with the fit issue still a bargin deal.

Need to get chris to get one of these for the hybrid.
The stock 250 rad barely works for the 500, this should help on those hot days.

anyone thought of adapting an oem off say a 700 raptor or 660? they use similar top mounted radiators? i dont have one laying around to take measurements but just a thought.

I actually found a supplier in china that would make them for way cheaper than $400/ea, IIRC it was sub $100, just needed to buy a few of them at a time.
A thicker rad will offer better cooling. The longer fins means more surface area. Much better over stock, I really don't know as I have never done any testing.

Try like $400 plus bucks, Hey trust me if there was that much better cooling out of them I would have bought one, lord knows I buy enough bling for the quads, call around a few radiators you will find some that do Quads Radiators and will be just like new, think about the calcium deposits, gasket material, RTV floating around for the last 20 years, and don't forget to make sure you put your that lower air scoop back on too.

$200? why can't someone make one like the banshee, only $50 for a oversized one.
but i meant an oversized rad would actually offer better cooling than an inline cooler.

Think its like 200 plus for a new radiator, where the OEM one work damn well, its just after 20 plus years a dip, power flush and , pressure test for like 85 bucks and last another 20 years, think my last build I found out I had hair line crack in the neck of the radiator, extra 20 bucks and good as new. I just left it raw on this quad, the other quad , went ahead and polished it

You mean buy a bigger rad.
One that is a little thicker.

Better off to take your radiator to a shop and have it flushed, and pressure tested. and replace the cap

I like the look and they do no harm. If you get one cheap,
polish it up and "bling"
A sandblasted surface will dissipate more heat than a polished surface!!!

They work great for show.
The idea is there, but they suck.
They need longer fins, thinner fins and more fins to lower temps.
But you really shouldn't need them. Get your engine jetted right and you will be fine.
