I got it figured out.
The stopper plate #13 was on backwards and their was no #14 washer behind the shift drum.
Cases are back together shifting smooth with all bolts tight.

Thanks for the response.

I'm going to split the cases in the next day or two and start over.

Hopefully I can get this working correctly.

Something isn't right, need to make sure everything is lined up. It's been a while since I had cases apart, but you should be able to roll shift drum to make sure everything is lined up. If it is not shifting something is not all the way in place.

the 2 retainer peices im talking about are called pawl lifter and cam guide according to the manuel. and are #5 and #6 in the manuel

when i tighten them down they contact the gearshift cam driven gear (#1) and are to tight to allow it to move.

Hi, I put my cases together and cant get it to shift.

Found out it was the shift drum bolt and the 4 phillip screws for the 2 shifting retainer peices.

When i tighten 1 or the other or all it wont allow the stuff to roll and shift.

What should i do?
Thanks
