Actually i was wondering if steering stems breaking are a common problem on the 87's.   I do have a spare stocker but I haven't looked at it closely and if they are troublesome I would rather buy an aftermarket for it.....

I ended up having the handlebars in my lap today riding in n the woods.  Glad I wasn't going very fast.  Anyways, what are people running for steering stems?  I see lonestar makes one but it's $400.  Any other places sell a good quality stem at a cheaper price?
