The piston in the pic has already got those mods done to it, (on your recommendation)
I'll post up some more pictures shortly to stimulation some more discussions

Don't worry about the piston weight its insignificant compared to the reliability. if your piston came with holes in the ex side drill two more the same size if not you will need 4 evenly spaced and centered on the bridge. On the intake side you drill a 3/8" or 10 mm @ 10mm below the lower ring to aid air movement under piston crown and lube pin and upper rod better.

I noticed that some people are modifying there aftermarket pistons with extra holes to cool the exhaust bridge and to help lube the piston pin on the inlet side.
I recently saw a post on trimming the skirt to reduce the weight a little.
Can anyone post up some pictures to what they have done?
I was going to trim a little off the skirt each side of the pin area as well as slightly increase the cut out on the inlet side of my new Weisco Piston to assist flow.
Any advice welcomed
