Grass drags... hmmmm.......sounds fun as hel!  Do you guys wet down the grass first?  I've never done it. Here in about a week I'm having my walnut and oak trees logged, and roads bulldozed into my STEEP hillsides to extract the trees.  Once that's done I'll use those roads to gain access to all my trees with a truck and cut up firewood.  My neighbor pissed me off and the funny thing is, I own land almost all the way around him, so I'll be sure to leave that land around him cleaned up.  The dude owns like two acres and then he moved our fence, in his favor,  did a land grab cause he said there were trees in the way. Lol. He's a real work of art.  He bought one of those shack, shed looking houses on skids and faced it away from the road, towards my trees cause it's a better view.  Yes, when I leave his "view" it is going to be UGLY!  And he's already hooked up plumbing to the well and cut holes in his floor for plumbing. Lol It would make moving his house a real pain.  It all started over a friend's table.. if that gives you an idea of what I had to deal with.  Anyways....Should make some extra money from logging....maybe a chance to have my 230 engine built, or get my 85' LT 250R a whole new rear end from LSR.  Unless somebody has one they'd part with lol please... I'm begging....lol. it's been a couple of years since I rode the old girl.

I chatted with Mickey Dunlap over at 3WW and he does work on them still. I asked about my LT250s and the a 273cc kit is $350. Plus machining labor and probably valve work I am looking at probably $1K+ for the motor work. Plus I'd probably get it blasted and painted as the old coating on the engine is not that pretty anymore. I'll have to see how it runs this summer and decide what to do with the motor.

Thank you el Diablo.  I agree.  Once I get all the bearings replaced, I'm going to need somebody to go through my motor and tyranny to replace ANY wear and tear items, minus the gears.  I have 2 230E engines and I'm using one for parts and the other to get rebuilt.  D?  As far as aftermarket parts for the 230's, I can't find a single aftermarket part for my 87'... but I have found aftermarket parts for the later models.  Such as supertrapp exhaust, and tie rods.

Give Terry at Powroll a call to see if he can do anything with this engine. I agree that it would be exciting to have a professionally built vintage engine in these old bikes.

I wonder if Mickey still works on Motors. I see he is over at 3 Wheeler World a lot now.   I've got the big bore piston
for my LT250s. Would be neat to have that engine modded professionally.  I still would love to try to stuff a LT250R motor in
my LT250s.

I would love to see pictures of any LT230's.  Take us to school someone.  I just bought 2 LT230's made in 86'.  And I know nothing about them. I don't even know what model of a 230 it is.  Is it the 230GE or the lt230f?  Both have pull start and electric start. Semi manual clutch, chain driven.  Once I get it home I'll post up pics of them.  I don't know if they are worth saving. Lol. You guys can be the judge.
