Well now the only problem I have is the fact I can't gun it from a stop......that is I can't keep the front end down! In 1st or 2nd +k2

haha, it happens.
Also make sure the floats slide freely and that the correct one is on each side.

The floats go on top of the needle valve lever, not under.
The way you have it setup, it will never shut off the gas flow.
As the bowl fills, those floats rise moving the lever that controls the needle valve up and shutting off gas flow.

OK seems I have a float that isn't staying on. By that I mean it slides off when I have the bowl off. So it was below the "pin" holder. It doesn't see any different than the side that stays up but it will slide off the holder. I thought it may have been why it was leaking so I made sure it was on right but as soon as I put the gas on it started leaking again from the overflow. This time I noticed it is also leaking from the higher breather (breather on the opposite side of the carb).
I removed the carb from the bike but am now not sure how to get the float pin out. I tapped on it with a small screwdriver but was afraid to hit it hard.
How do I get this pin out?

I pulled my bowl tonight at the track because it was overflowing so much my bike sucked my bowl dry after 4 back to back to back to back drag passes running hot laps in practice. Found my float needle was stuck pushed it open and closed with the floats 3 or 4 times and it solved the problem.

If it's parked in the garage I would take the carb out and make shore everything is good in it and clean it. Tapping the side of the carb is something I would do if I had noticed it while out riding. 2c

I tried the whack it with a wrench and no change pretty sure I have one of my floats on top the the float slide thing and one under it so it's holding my needle just barely open. Sucks leaking out $7.60/gal fuel lol

before you take it apart, start it, then take a screw driver and tap on the carb with the handle. Some times the needle sticks a bit and needs to be knocked loose.

I'll take it apart and look. I did have the carb rebuilt last fall by an "expert" and replaced the needle and seat at that time. I cannot imagine its already bad. BUT one side of the float DID fall off when I changed out the pilot last month. Easy enough to put back on but I'll look it over.
I've had the carb apart no fewer than 20 times since owning this thing over the past year so I am now becoming my own "expert" +k2

My bike ran good with a stock pilot (22.5) and 420 main (Open airbox AEM 5 1/4" filter and outerwear). Ran good like this out in Glamis CA as well as home in WI (About the same altitude both places). Last ride was out in St. Anthony Idaho where I had to go with a smaller pilot (20) as it was running really rich.
Out in Glamis a Member here told me to go up one size pilot as I had the air screw at about 3/4 turn with the 22.5 pilot
So after returning from St. Anthony I put in 25 in and parked it for a month.
Fired it up last night, ran rich and gas was coming out the overflow. I ran it for 15 minutes, it warmed up to nearly 150F and still gas poured out whether I sat with it running or if I was moving still it came out.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Sometimes the floats stick to the bottom of the float bowl after the fuel has evaporated from the carb.
Sometimes there is a piece of debris stuck between the needle and the seat.
Sometimes the o-ring on the outside of the seat needs replacing.

Pretty sure I'm having the same problem I'm thinking it's either a stuck float or stuck float needle.
