I have run bel ray for years with no problems. I just bought a bottle of Castor 927! I opened it and used 4 ounces of it. I started up my 250R today on it and it had sat for 3 years. A few kicks primed the carb and a 4 th kick started right up. Sadly I need to sell it but if anybody’s interested in some discounted Castor 927 just pm me.

I’ve always ran Belray & av fuel at 50 to 1. Raced at 100 degrees and never had any problems. Just my experience.

I have been Using 927 for Years, and that has worked the best for me is a 4 gal mix. 2 gal of 91 octane and 2 gal of VP 110 racing fuel with 16 oz of 927. Smoke a little but helps the top end since I ride a lot Glamis. But smell so good. O0

I'm making the switch from amsoil dominator to maxima 927 castor with my next 5 gallons of 112. Just got done talking with maxima and they said separation due to low specific gravity won't be a major issue until 32 degrees or below and to add 3% of 93 pump gas to my mix and it will assure no separation. I can't stand my exhaust smelling like straight race fuel with no real hint of two stroke oil!

I think some people need to read this.

My exhaust spigot spits out black spooge at 32:1 I can imagine at 24:1 what a oil field I'll have. Better protection for sure though
You won't have more spooge at 24:1 than 32:1 if you bike is jetted correctly for it.

Ummm, you will have more oil at 24:1 than 32:1 with the same air fuel ratio.
Because as you add more oil to your gas, you lean up the air fuel mixtures, so to keep it from running lean, you need to up the jetting putting even more oil in there.
I ran 40:1 in all my 2-strokes. Use a quality oil and you can run 32:1 and 40:1 without issues.

Yes Dez dominator full synthetic.

Are you running amsoil Derrick?

Might have something to do with running 927 castor oil Dez. I run the full synthetic and my bike barely smokes and doesn't spit much residue out if any at all at 25:1. Big difference though is exhaust smell, my exhaust smells like race gas with a slight hint of oil where my cousins banshee running a castor oil wreaks of two stroke oil/fuel mix and he mixes 40:1 I think.

I believe the general consensus is, highly modded = 24:1 Mild to stock = 32:1.
I have a lot of mods and chose to run 32:1. There seems to be some premature wear although performance was fine.
There are tons of great oils out there and my only recommendation is to stay away from Bel-Ray.

I just finished my LT500 project and was wondering what everyone thought was the best oil to use and what is the ideal ratio.
Do a search. This topic has been covered many times.

Would probably help if you posted your motor setup. I have 9" k&n custom aluminum airbox 41.5mm mikuni tm38 87.5mm bore v2 reeds touch up port job squish corrected head cut for race gas Q v1 pipe. I run 112 Sunoco and amsoil dominator full synthetic at 25:1.
