The reson I have the pwk on it is because the stock carb with stock jetting was just as bad if not worse.

It could be your PWK carburetor.

Thank you for that info......as you said about putting the castor oil in the crank case to see if I get the smell that way makes me think of when I first start bike cold and do my test it first smells like the 2 stroke oil I'm using "klotz" once its warm it doesn't have that small any more unlike my shee's u smell it all day long.

First of all, it's best when jetting to get one circuit right at a time. Read this link here http://www.dfn.com/agservices/jetfaq.html (http://www.dfn.com/agservices/jetfaq.html) for some help. I know it's for the banshee, but the information is good and should be somewhat relevant.
Also, there is a very real possibility that you're sucking oil in from your crank seals. If your bike is smoking a lot even if you're sure it's slightly lean, it's a good sign that you're sucking in oil from the crankcase. You might also notice a black sludge dripping around your exhaust flange as well as foiled or shiny black spark plugs. A way to test this for sure is to first mix some gas WITHOUT castor oil and then put some castor oil in the crankcase. If you smell castor oil in your exhaust whilst running fuel without castor oil, you're sucking in crankcase oil for sure. I know on my bike jetting was a pain because I didn't realize me seals were toast.

I have a 87 lt250r......Jetting it has been nothing but a nightmare.....I put a pwk35 on it with a pod filter the bike is basic...wiseco piston reed cage spacer and an old school FMF muffler...I tryed many different mains in the carb ranging from 166-175 and needles cel and dgk the best result I have found to work was with a 168 main and the cel needle at 2nd position from top with my mixture screws adjusted.....with this set up it still ran pudgie on the top end blowing a good amount of smoke on top end....so I dropped main to a 166 and needle to middle position and readjusting mixture screw thinking this should be where I need to be it seemed to be worse and the plug indicated it was too lean but still on topend it ran fat. I have replaced head gasket with OEM since it showed a small leak.......so any help here please could it be sucking water or oil from clutch side crank seal. With the 168 main the plug looked to be very close to a carmel color 166 was dam close to white.....hope someone has some advice for this.
