Went to dealer yesterday and it is same part# for 85 and 86. I told him what I had learned on here and I had him check the other models for part#s 87 through 90 where the same and 91 and 92 the same. but they want $52 for it. I read on here somewhere about a reservoir that attaches to master cylinder, going to try and find that post and see if it will fit or if I can make it work. Mine is not leaking yet it is weathered and I want to fix before it leaks, but I have some time to look and see what else I can find.
Thank you for all the help everyone has given me! I love this site.

X2 on the carb being the only difference.32mm for the it 85 and 34mm for the 86.

If you go to worldofpowersports.com and click on shop parts on the left side you can order the parts on that site by your year and have it shipped to you. That's what I use for my wife's 86 but I don't think any other letters in the vin matter besides the year.but I was thinking the only difference between the 85 and 86 was the carb but I could be mistaken

Do the part numbers supersede one another?
I would think they used 1 or 2 different rear brake reservoirs at the most if there is difference.
Verify what;s compatible with someone here and I'd bet someone on here has one they could sell you or there is one on ebay.

I was looking for the reservoir for the rear master cylinder and every model is a different part#. Title says it’s an 85. I don’t really see what difference it would make, I would assume any 85 or 86 LT would be the same reservoir, but they all have different part #s. I am also sure that I could find an aftermarket one and retro fit it. I mostly am curious about why all the different models and part#s, and why dosen't suzuki recognize my VIN.
Now that you say that, I am looking on suzuki parts house and what you say makes since the F and G are always together just like 85 and 86. Don't know why Title says 85 but dosent really matter. Thank you for all your help El Diablo.

Actually, it's the 10th digit. On yours, it's a "G". That makes it a 1986. This makes us ask what parts are you searching for? The 8th digit "A" means you have a base model... what ever that means.

The VIN is JSAAJ11A5G2107858

Post up your entire VIN # here.

Thanks Hemi,
The F-N are all submodels for the 85 year. My 8th digit in my VIN is an A. What does that mean? There is not a model A
-
The f-n is the year of the quad. Its the 8th number in the vin number that will tell you what model you have

This is my first post on here. I need some help! went to local shop for some parts for my 85 LT250R, they directed me to local Suzuki dealership. dealership looked up part# and there is 8 diferent models of Quadracers for the 85 year. They are: F, G, H, J, K, L, M, and N.. dealership ask for VIN# to verify what model I had because each model has a diferent part# for same piece. I got VIN# off of frame, took it into dealership, they said it was invalid. I thought I had missread it. So I took in registration, same thing, invalid. Dealership called Suzuki, Suzuki says my VIN# was never produced. They now want to cross reference engine number. Im getting a little nervouse about the lack of records Suzuki is finding on my Quad. Has anyone had any problems like this before? what else can I try?
Thank You for any help that can be provided.
