The shocks are set up for stock length 12''. I just updated my to the works shocks that you see in the ad. Made the ride a lot better but if you had adjustable shocks im sure it would be even better. Ball joints are the standard 14mm replacement ball joints you find on ebay for aftermarket a arms. I made a set for a friends bike and he loves them.

Just looked at your arms on flee bay , what shocks are they set up for? An what ball joints are ya use n?

If you're looking for a arms for an 85 or 86 LT I have a set that I made on eBay right now. They are plus 2 made out of DOM tubing. They made a big difference on my bike.

Found it. I like it personally but all YFZs in my area for parts are CRAZY expensive. Sparky might get on here and give us ALL the juicy details but from what he told me sounds pretty straight forward once you get all of the YFZ parts.

When I talked to him last week he say that he loves them and that they were a great improvment. I think he just forgot about updateing the thread. he sent me some pics lets see if I can find them....

Dutch he never finshed his thread on the a arm swap . Never did say if their was any problems or even if it worked for him. Might not have worked.

Can you do the yfz arms on the 87+ 250's or is there a better option?

I have heard that one of the best and cheapest for the 85-86 LTs is to swap the a-arms, brakes and shocks with those from a YFZ450. only needs on upper mounting bracket re located on the frame then everything is a direct bolt in. it gives you the better brakes, +2 on each side, more travel and it handles alot better. I know someone has it done to his on here I'll look for his screen name, he just sold me some stock shocks. Its Sparky BTW looks really nice.

There are many threads on multiple sites of members complaining of outrageous long delivery times, wrong parts being sent out, etc. Burgard puts out good stuff, but it's a one man operation... Expect the worst then you might be surprised

If you order a arms from Burgard, you might get them in 2-3 years.

Never ran the 86 quad before. But my 91 when I switched to Burgard made my bike handle alot better. I set camber at 3 degrees negative also done bumb steer mod. But the a arms overloaded my shocks. But that was my only problem I had out of mine. I got + 2 and 1 inch forward design.

What do u guys think abt the fullflight a arms , I had bought a set 5 years ago, an was tempted to buy burguards but these were a lil cheaper, any who I just bolted them up an had my dual rate shocks , (works) revalved an different springs , doesn't handle very well, did the toe adjustment an did the camber adjustment, maxed it out, it now handles a bit better , maybe I need to switch to burguards long travel an better shocks?? Btw this is on a 86 250.
