Ct outlaw,awsome pipe
-
Ct outlaw kicks ass,period.
-
The DCS-6
-
Witch pipe have the best midrange ?
PT or CT or FMF
-
i also think the ct outlaw pipe rips
-
I have no idea man
-
I know this is way late...but i found the CT Outlaw pipe to be an awesome pipe! The bottom end isnt outrageous but it's there forsure! hard to explain but it has a torquey(not a real word lol) feel. When the mid-range hits it's pretty impressive :) and it doesnt fall off hard, I can feel a continous pull throughout the rest of the rpms. The only real Con I could fine with the pipe is that you have to cut your plastics thats all though, some people will tell you that your left foot gets hot but the silencer shoots out lower than the foot peg you'll actually feel more heat coming off the expansion chamber on the right side. My original pipe was the fmf and well there's a huge difference! but I also had some motor work done when I switched to the CT pipe. Just my 2c
Will the CT outlaw fit a hybrid 250 frame?
-
Hall pipe is still the best pipe you can get for the zilla..
That is what I found, seeing all of the dyno runs over two days of testing on two different quads.

Mitch, sell me a pipe.
-
I've got a OOF drag pipe made by RDZ for a 250 hybrid, might fit a zilla I'm not sure.
It was a one-off development and I never got around to testing it.
JGILBO from the old site helped me get them to manufacture one, since at that time Q was in the middle of another sabbatical or whatever you want to call it and nobody was building good hybrid pipes.
The stinger was designed to be used at this length without a silencer, but could be shortened and a silencer fitted on, I can't remember exactly how that went actually.
Might be a killer pipe or it could be mediocre, who knows..thought I'd add it to the list.
It's bare steel and keeping it oiled and inside on a shelf still didn't stop surface rust from forming.
Maybe it needs ceramic coating or chromed, I dunno.
If anyone is planning on doing some dyno pipe comparisons and want to try it out, send me your address and I'll ship it out (to test, not to keep ;D )
Here it is next to a Q hybrid:

-
Mitch, that's the way a pipe comparison should be!
It would be nice to have an archived sticky with each pipe represented.
Things to include should be general info about the pipe (fit and finish) installed pics, and a few dyno runs all on the same test bike.
Maybe it's just being hopeful to have all of that in one spot, but it would definitely be a great resource in finding the right pipe for your riding.

There's a lot of high performance right there in that last post ^^^

I can't honestly answer that yet since I have not been able to get to the dunes where I can hit the drag strip and test that out in the upper gears.
You get a chance to try that new pipe out?
-
how are the graydon pro line pipes? i cant find anything on these pipes
-
Or how about a ct outlaw pipe?
-
i didnt see anyone mention the CP pipe, anyone running that pipe?
-
Thanks guys,good to know.
-
Q said you lose around 300 RPM on top, depending on your engine set up. But the power is moved around 800 RPM lower.
-
Love that picture Rider..... great movie!
From what I've read, the v2 was redesigned to trade a bit of the overrev for mid range.
-

-
So does the Q v2 have the same overev that V1 has?
-
In Jimmy Hoffas briefcase :D
-
Where are those pipe dyno sheets anyways..... ;D
-
2Stroked
There are two different LT500R Dr. Q pipes. The Original and the 2.0 revised "new" pipe. I have the 2.0 pipe that brings the power back into the midrange more than the original Q pipe. Both pipes have explosive power on a good running Zilla IMHO. I had the same needs that Rogue did and wanted the power to come on sooner. I didn't need a high strung pipe.
FYI
-
Best pipe, like said above is personal opinion.
I can only speak to where I have personal experience.
Started with a PT Mid pipe. Good pipe for stock, slightly modified bike. Good power low and to the mid range, OK on the top end, but nothing special. Older pipe, all black, and probably rusty unless re-finished. Good pipe for trails and all around.
PT Mid range (came with the bike when I bought it):
Q v1 pipe. So, so low end, Ok in the mid range, but hits hard on the top end. Allows almost 9k on the overrev. Nickle plated and very shiny. Good looking pipe, molded stamped finish. Some have experienced cracks where the pipe mounts to the frame, I did not have this issue. Good pipe for drag racing and OK for general dune riding.
Q-Pipe when I sold it (used about 12 months by me and was used to begin with):
HPR#19 pipe. With my Q Hot Rod Dune porting, the Hall pipe did not have the 9k overrev, but topped out on power at about 7800 and overrev'ed to 8200. Raw pipe, hand built. Great pipe for all around dune riding, and can be used for all out drag racer (with a drag racer build).
HPR#19
(http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n135/rogue1970/1989%20Suzuki%20Quadzilla/null-4.jpg)
I liked the Q pipe, but it did not fit what I wanted for my Zilla. I wanted a raw pipe with more low/mid grunt. The HPR met my needs. Expensive, yes, but it was worth the cost to me to get the performance I wanted out of my Zilla and to match the look I wanted for my build (low bling).
-
yes $600 for my almost new Q v1. Need to fund a 250 pipe, and zillas in pieces. PM me 2stroked we can work something out.
-
" I know for a fact that the V2 is all RK. From the headpipe to the stinger, to every single dimention of that Pipe. The V2 is not a copy of anything. Additionally I know RK babysat the production of the V2 & even machined much of the components personally. "
Kennerz: Better off not saying anything when you don't know the facts.
These are Q'S pipes that we build for Q the way Q wants them....... Thats all that needs to be said........
-
Isn't rogue selling one right now $600?
BadMoon is http://www.suzukiquadracerhq.com/items-selling/q-zilla-pipe/msg1879/?topicseen#new
-
Isn't badmoonracing selling one right now $600?
-
i think the aaen would work good for you. mine pulls good a top end
-
$650.00 or less eliminates a new Q or Hall pipe.
Flat track Racing is alot of high RPM, mid to WOT throttle right? I would think the Aaen would be a great choice.
Other options:
Pro-Pro's/Trinity - There is not alot feedback on how these pipe perform that I could find but they are still within budget.
Paul Tuner - Within Budget might not perform as well on the top end as the Aaen pipe. You might like the power delivery better.
-
do you think i would get the same performance out of an aaen pipe as a q or halls, also im going to be using it for flattrack racing would the aaen be a good choice, im trying to spend 650 or less
-
Had Milehi fix a couple cracks 6-7 months ago and added an extra mount for the silencer.

After 8 tanks, still holding up! I got the lucky pipe WOO HOO!!!
-
I have a PT cylinder with his name on it, but duncan did the work?
-
What were the problems with a Q pipe
-
So it's claiming a product is yours when you didn't make it?
-
Q didn't fix anything, Shearer did
Q sub-contracted Shearers to MGF them, So at this time it is Q's pipe made by Shearer , But I do agree Matt did fix the bugs.
-
Q didn't fix anything, Shearer did any "fixing" that was done
-
my 2 cents
AAEN or Hall...Paul Turner is fine
...Q's worked but doesn't hold up...period
We cant say that yet about the Q-V2 until this version has been ran for awhile (Time Will Tell), we need to be fair here, Q and or Matt did fix alot of the complaints from the Version 1 had. Mainly more brackets.
-
my 2 cents
AAEN or Hall...Paul Turner is fine
...Q's worked but doesn't hold up...period
-
Aaen is a great value for sure.
I would love to try a Paul Turner pipe someday. That's a classic LT500 pipe. Might be the right pipe for some.
-
Hard to beat the Aaen for the price. about $400 shipped, raw
-
Read on Facebook Q was getting $820 shipped for his pipe.
-
I run a Aaen and like it. it is cheaper too, but the DrQ and Hall pipe are better
-
Do you know what an estimated price would be for a Q pipe, and thanks for the replies.
-
My next choice would be a HPR Pipe from Jerry. I would have to get it dipped though. I love a big shiny 2 stroke pipe! 8)
-
drqperformance@yahoo.com if you want to solicit RK for a Dr. Q Pipe. Its not going to be the cheapest pipe to buy.

Jerry hall/HPR is a member here MotorGeek he has his own forum, Matt Shearer/ SCP make's/made the Q pipes and I believe he's doing his own, his member name is Pipe-Ster here. Mitch has had some new pipes made with excellent results, hopefully another batch to come. The AAEN is a copy of the old Q pipe. It is much cheaper, a lot have expierenced fitment issue's and it's not to the quality of the other pipe's. There is also the paul turner/duncan racing pipe which is good compared to trinity and also a the old LRD pipe which in it's day was an excellent pipe. The 4 new pipes are much better than the old. HPR, SCP and Mitchs pipe's are your best choices. PM them here for more info.

Hi I am looking to buy a new exhaust for my 87 LT500, the one on it now is a Trinity and its missing the silencer, I was wondering wich pipe would be best for it i found Aaens site so I was looking for info on theirs, I Have also heard of HPR and Dr Q but can't find a website to order either one, I appreciate any input
