Tim that bike is SO nice. You guys lucked out by not coming out here. It ended up being a **** show. A hole opened up in corner 3 and flooded the corner, main event was red flagged 4 times (which made being wet unbearable) and then I got into a crash which took out my silencer!

Ok Gill , Tim and Carl we are running one more race this Sunday in Ma. So why don't you load up the bikes and come race with some Massholes!! Tim there's a women's class to with some fast girls if your daughter wants to go to. Carl it would be fun to see the look on CJ's face if you showed up in his backyard! It's 1hr 45mins on 90 east from SUNY. Come on out.                                                                                                                               Patrick thanks for the invite (info) on races but if ice is good on Round Lake were going to stay local. Good luck

I think we might go riding at Round lake if the ice is good. I never made it to the races this year, just riding and I liked it. As many laps as I want all day for waaay less money.

Usually myself, but thinking I may need professional help. originally they were Stadium shock out of Canada. And all my reads are OEM with a race tech gold valve and my valving specs. Basically it was a lot of rebuilding until I got a close set up in the garage. Then it was out to the track. And some more testing.
Problem now is can't just order shocks for a Lt.

Post by: Dangerouspower on February 12, 2014, 05:56:11 pm
Carl who do you use to get shocks revalved? Elka?
Title: Re: playing on the Ice
Post by: Iceracer on February 12, 2014, 05:52:45 pm
Haha ya rite. I'm going to probably order long screws and puncture these see if I can get a little more life as spares. You welcome to try em before you buy a set. I'll probably get a 9" version and see if they are as flat a profile as these.
Hey BTW I see elka has that shock deal again. Just have to see what springs Tims using now. I need to send my stuff out and get revalved. I'd like to try a set that are valved correctly for the motion ratio. See how I like them compared to this set I've tweaked for the last 5 years. May be time to reset the baseline.

Im thinking of trying a set like yours and your thinking of trying the cheng shin's again. I say we try them, If we don't like them just swap. lol.

Ya , we had fun, they have a great spot and a good group. No meatheads. I put the 265 back in due to some technical difficulties with my 302. There totally different machines to ride. Had all 3 versions of my engines out there nice to compare all at the same time.

If you run c12 you should not have issues, if you run @ 1/2 bottle of isypropyl in you mix. That's all I have ever done. You can add 1/2  to  1 gal of non ethanol pump gas also.
Super m is OK don't use K2 It provides no rust and corrosion protection when stored from what I've seen when I used it.

Some one posted adding premium gas in a limited amount to help it mix properly

Seems like it was abit ago

I got a chance to ride the Bartlett Racing small block 302, and I gotta sat Carl is on it with these motors! One the smoothest, most powerful 250 motors I've ridden. LTZ's 302 was cranking out there all afternoon as well. I will be upgrading at some point in the future.

Gotcha yeah all three bikes are very well put together machines. I never would've went the route you went with your build but now it's all together I have to say its one of my favorite bikes I've ever seen simply because it's so unique and stands out in any crowd.

Thank you, all three bikes are pretty clean Tims is a real nice OE looking build. Gilles has the Darth Vader thing going.
I wanted something differnt to stand apart from the growing fleet of Let's so I pulled out all the stops.
The things on my tires are inner tubes for covers on the screws. Most of the time we have to wheel across dirt stone or concrete to get on any Ice.
