Post by: FX4Pitrone on December 28, 2013, 08:17:23 pm
I have a nice low hour 87.... Stock bore, stock port.... But it will prob need a bore to the next size... Has a scratch in the cylinder... Very clean, nice original paint, no cracks... Looking to trade for similar small reed possibly....

i guess cause it distorts the cylinder so much that they need to bore it out 1 or 2 sizes after.

Well I'm not saying I have a ton of stuff lol but I have a few things. To be honest I sold a lot of them here recently so my stash is getting smaller when it comes to small reed stuff. But I have some. What do you have tony?

No I have a cylinder that has been ported by someone probably in their backyard, and I would like to have a cylinder ported by hpr plus its almost to the end of its life on this sleeve.

Sending the cylinder to Jerry Hall to see if it can be saved. I'm not sure I want to dump a bunch of money into a cylinder that is almost wore out.

I have some 88 cylinders that are close to stock bore with little or no port work. Pm me and we can figure out a price.

My whole point new zilla cylinders don't grow anywhere anymore. If the porting hasn't already trashed the cylinder. Can it be saved?

How terrible is the porting? Also you can Nikisil your cylinder and get some more life out of it. Then eventually re-sleeve if the porting isn't terrible.

Looking for a good lightly used zilla cylinder with no or very minimal porting something with a max 87mm bore. Its a needle in the haystack I know but don't want to spend 800 on a new one. If someone knows where to get a new one cheap send me a pm. Started my rebuild project and pulled apart my 88 zilla and found out that it had been ported and it had a 88.5mm bore
