Tm designs sells them collers

Sweet looking reservoir. The only thing I would worry about is breaking it off
-
For that price there cheap
Think I paid a lot more from a bike shop in Tokyo
Here is a better pic of it fitted

This looks like what he has. These are sweet looking.

What do those run cost wise and where can you find them?
-
Looks awesome I definitley want one!
-
The pic I posted is one I found on the web
I have one bolted up to both my 250 and 500
There are a few different types but I bought the one that tilts forward so that it is vertical when bolted on the bike
Here's a pic of what I bought including the seals

Grk cut the size of them pic down. Screw up this thread on smarts phones.
-
For $79.95, is it possible somebody on here could manufacture them for the same price or less, while improving the appearance?
-
Integrated reservoir

-
Austenw,.... I've never seen that before. Is that the brake fluid resevoir mounted on a stock master cylinder? It's pretty slick.
-
how strong is carbon fiber? there is alot of stress on the rear brake link. if its not strong enough it will bend or break. my first aluminum links were too thin and would bend. one on my 500 started to bend thats why i make thicker links now. going more for strength more than looks.

http://www.ltr450hq.com/forums/pictures-videos/18506-lets-see-your-rides.html Look at the pink ltr skid plate..
-
wicked! And it wasnt a thread it was texts lol,,, Lemme know when they are a go and i'll get one off yall
-
No biotch Im about to try and dig up the thread either way I got a guy whos gonna make em for us and I already have a yfz caliper.
-
Cj you thieved that idea from me awhile back lol. I found a guy whos doing them for us. Once there made Ill see if we need to do anything with the rotors.
No punk it was my idea to begin with cause remember you said you didn't think the banjo's would fit and I tried telling you you can get custom lines made but nooooooo! Lol
Regardless,, I'll guinea pig the prototype ;D
-
carbon fiber a arm gaurds, not sure how they would last tho
can they take some hits or rock scrapes. its kinda hard to find some that fit +2 a arms
BM you better come swinging. lol i will pull some friday the 13th $**** on you. cut you up in a bunch of small parts and feed you to my neighbors hogs.. ;D

Mise well make it 3 we have to cut down trees off the hills all the time.

That G Craft resevoir is amazing looking I may put a kfx450 master on mine.
Grk maps are for whimps gas up and ride. O0 Jk thats another place we gotta ride John..
-
Now that's a cool piece.
I have been going to get a Yz master and make a new mount to run it for a similar setup, I had forgot about it until I noticed my res has crack in it.
-
How about a copy of the G Craft Rear brake reservoir.
Luckily for me I managed to pick up 2 last year on a business trip to Japan

looks like u will have 2 ppl to punch. i pack my chainsaw all the time. a mounting bracket for a saw would be awesome
-
i need something to hold a chain saw on it
John, If I ever see a chainsaw mounted on a Quadracer, I will punch you... In the face... Hard :).
-
I'd really like a new redesigned stator & flywheel. Banshee or Honda style both net 200+ watts. I want some hids
-
I'd be up for a carbon fiber brake stabilizer bar thing and a rear brake mount that will take a YFZ450 rear caliper!
-
How about billet & carbon fiber brake stay arms, caliper brackets & front brake disk shields?
Here's one that I'm sure ALL the zilla guys would love... A new cushion lever with revised / improved geometry?
-
or a map holder, sorta like a clip on clip board. when you go to hatfield you need a map to know where you are.
and then you always find your self stopping to look at map.
-
A nice, thicker kickstarter would be nice. With a high compression head and fresh top end, the stock kickstarter beats my foot to death even though riding boots.
-
I should have the master cyl gaurds @100% pretty soon. I dont have a pic yet of it on the bike, here is a pic of it on my table from last night doing some coating work. Nice frame gaurds btw sblt!
Nice work from both of you guys. I've never seen anybody work with carbon fiber before. Someday can you make a video of ya building something little so we can see the process of how it's done? I'm imagining in my head that it's probably pretty close to working with fiberglass but heck I don't know.

I REALLY like those Shawn!!
Air box looks really nice as well would you make longer ones maybe not as tall?
Lol I don't know John, woods, no bumper, random trees and rocks, I see this being bad.
-
u got a mc cover for a 91? if so how much
-
WOW, those are bad @ss. very nice work Shawn.........
-
how about get rid of the bumper, use the stock mounting holes and build a box that will use the holes to mount it.
-
i just realized the other thread was for 500 frame guards, so i'll add my pics of my 250 frame guards here. never made a set for the 500, did look at it way back when, but never made a set.
these frame guards are for the 85-90 lt250r. i will try them on a 91-92. master cylinder guard is for the 85-90 250 and all 500.

-
Make and sell bumpers too then ;D ::) :o P* (Y) #1>
-
Just gotta keep it back towards the engine as much as possible.
-
i thought of that to, but not everyone has the same front bumper,
-
Both great ideas grk. Im thinking for a tool box mount though, somewhere behind the front bumper to help keep the front end down on the hills and keep the bars area cleaned up.
-
how about some kind of tool box that mounts in front of the handle bars, and uses the handle bar mounts.
something to keep a few wrenches, cresent wrench and plugs and jets, tire plug kit. in and maybe a large gatoraid in it.
and for us guys that ride in the woods, i need something to hold a chain saw on it, i have a 6 pak rear grab bar, but it would
be nice to stick bar inside a slot and then bungie or use a velcro strap to hold it in place..
i was thinking slide bar in and then have some kind of mounting brackets that bolt to the grab bar.
-
Between one of those and 250r/yfz style rad shrouds that would guide the air quite well onto the engine and rad.
A new style shifter would be nice.
Good idea on the thumb throttle ! Im thinking a replica of the OEM case only carbon fiber with yellow carbon fiber SUZUKI on top..
exhaust flange doesn't interest me much but maybe yall would like em.
List of SBLT interest parts
-Air scoop
-250r/yfz style rad shrouds
-water pump guard
-brake pedal
-shifter
-master cylinder guard
-frame guards
List of interest parts for Robb
-frame guards
-master cylinder cover
-water pump guard
-oem replica thumb throttle with yellow SUZUKI
-shifter
-adjuster plate on swingarm..
-both hold downs for carrier
-parking brake block off?
If both you guys could go through these list and put down what you can or cant do it would be much appreciated!
Bump for robb and sblt.
-
Or cascade
-
Dutch, you might want to check with Duncan Racing for that billet exhaust clamp.
-
I see, Its not really a big deal just a little extra shiny part to throw on that could potentially be a nicesity to have, I could probably make on with some alunimum tubing and two hose clamps, uber ghetto-ify it.
I have also seen the same basic idea but for radiator clamps and fuel line clamps. they have hose clamps inside a housing that looks like a pressure fitted end, Kind of a neat idea for cleaning up the apperance of the bike but not too functional.
-
I have an alumn. one on my wife's 250 it has 2 Allen bolts that tighten it and a rubber tube on the inside. They used to be avail 10 + years ago
-
Dangerouspower, I was meaning the exhaust coupler in between the header and silencer, something like this. see them A LOT on banshees but no luck/love for the LTs
http://www.powersportparts.net/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=4121220
Who needs development when you have well skilled fabers who dont charge a C**p ton of money for little parts -->
-
One last thing,... We need 20-30 years of development...that the "others" (hahmmm honda) received which we did not. Thank god for those of you involved in the development of any parts. Without you guys, these things would either be in museums or scrapped. Thanks to everyone who takes time and shares it with us.
P.S. I really want to see ANY pics of the radiator scoops people have tried on the LT's. And one last thing I really want from Santa are some wide and lowered foot pegs,... I'm 6'1"200+, maybe light aluminum

i made one of those front air scoops for the 250's along time ago. still have it hanging on the wall. there was something about it i didn't care for. i'll have to get a pic of it posted
-
Dangerouspower, I like the idea and would tottally buy some of those parts if they were decently priced.
Some I thought of would be
a nice shift lever
radiator shrouds like the YFZ would be sweet.
a billet thumb throttle lever that works in the OEM housing would be nice.
A billet exhaust coupler would also be cool.
-
Ive been thinking about texting jay wonderin where the heck hes been.
Im personally not a fan of the black plastic air scoop that clips onto the frame and would like to see something like the 250r shrouds or yfz done as well.
I may try and see if I can mock up a z400 seat latch assembly onto the lt seat pan and see how hard it would be to weld hooks to the frame..
-
Jay made a flip top rear plastic set up. Bolt on and weld on. But he's been too busy with work to doing anything ATV wise
-
I'm actually looking at making a aluminum radiator shrouds. I was thinking more along the lines of a replacement for the lower, piece of black plastic. I was also looking at making a seat latch similar to the ones for the trx250r that use the hitch clips. Ive never cared for the factory seat latch. It will be a few months at the earliest before I can really sit down and look at it all.
-
Gas tanks custom ordered?
-
Aluminum rad shrouds like te Honda 250 r' had would be sweeeeeeeeet!
-
Im starting this so we dont clog up other threads for a specific thing.
Anyone have any ideas for custom things you would like made for the 250s?
-Frame guards, aluminum, carbon fiber
-Master cylinder guard, aluminum, carbon fiber
-Rad shrouds/air scoops, aluminum
- water pump cover, aluminum, carbon fiber
-brake pedal!! whatever material, powder coated or anodized, cut outs in it make it look nice, using a pivot bolt and we need to get a press in bushing drill out the frame a bit for it so its not and not a loose fit!! < I will wanna see a nice brake pedal for these things sorta like this.

Just a few things off the top of my head. S~
