Mine doesn't have a regulator, but I found one in the garage. My bulb is bright as hell and I'm surprised it hasn't blown yet. I'm trying to figure out where it goes.  Anyone have a pic?

Sounds like either a shot regulator or lighting coil on the stator

I just put on a headlight for the first time since I bought the thing. It was working fine, one 55 watt bulb. Then it was dim next time I started it. Now it won't turn on at all. I chopped all the wires to the dimmer/kill switch and ran the red/yellow and black/white wires directly to the light thinking the switch could be bad. Still nothing. I did try a few different lights to make sure the bulb wasn't blown. Anybody got solutions? I hate electrical, yet I'm apprenticing to be an electrician haha.

Thanks, Chris.
