so then a spacer would not effect anything by enlarging the space inside of the reed side of the carb?
-
looks like to need to take bolts out of air box and push it back on carb. then pull box back and tighten bolts back up.
a reed spacer would work well for you.

Boot to air box !
-
when you put a spacer in it makes it even tighter to put boots back on carb or air box.
lost of guys run them tho.
-
Can you post up a picture of the problem?

I have a 89 lt 250 and my boss has a 90 lt 250 both are stock carb /boots /motor set ups and it seems on both that it is impossible
to get the proper coverage with the boots on to either sides of the carb, and does not have any wiggle room to gain any extra length
to get the coverage it seems it needs. could i make a spacer out of 1/4 " aluminum to bolt on reed side with the six reed boot bolts
or would that effect the performance in some way ? any input would be much appreciated . Not always able to get on for the discussion
of the topics i post but i do appreciate the info. thanks mike!
