Well a small little can for a sled starts at $495. Not much to building one of these, a few welds, so I could just about imagine.
-
i dont even want to know what that will cost.
-
Mr. Hall, have you experimented with titanium?
-
Got a new snowmobile magazine today, they're building cans outta titanium. They are stronger, yet lighter than steel, they also maintain their strength and characteristics at more then 950°F. Titanium is very resistant to corrosion unlike steel.

Only If I have to get what I want or need. I am going to do some stuff with the 250 pipes. As Of rite now no plan for a pipe. That could change If none do what I expect on my new build though.
For the record I usally mod an existing Pipe to meet my need
-
Carl you build pipes?..

,That's funny you mention that you are doing a stainless pipe. I'm so fed up with chrome on Regular pipes thats something I've been looking into. What did you roll the cones with. I've been looking a t a small 1" diameter roller.

Thanks! Looks like a cool program. I wish I would have had it a couple months ago. I'm finishing up a stainless pipe for my zilla now. I did it by rolling long cones and "bologna" cutting smaller angled pieces out of them with an envetor blade. It took forever, and never comes out as good as when you do it with a proper flat layout, but I still think it was faster than doing a tapering elbow layout the old school way using triangulation.

Not worth the money. Its a simple. Calc program. I thought maybe it would be good for laying out patterns, nope links you to a free program.
Do you have the link to the free layout program?

I used something like this in the beginning on the DCS pipes, VERY GENERIC! if it wasnt from help of a few pipe MFG and the input from some two stroke builders I wouldnt have been able to figure out the design for the DCS 5 coming in DEC

I know pipe building is very technical and there is a science to it. People have described it as a black art. There has been many people around these parts interested in building pipes. Information on this subject can be difficult to obtain. Trying to get pipe building tips from builders is like pulling teeth so that leaves some of us enthusiasts with crap pipes or worse yet a bike that sits until a pro builds one. Well here is a program I just saw? http://www.buildandclick.com/html/tuned_pipe.html. I didn't look at the price but this does look interesting.
