nate was just on here the other day and said he has been riding the cr 500 all summer. he even brought a few friends with him when we all went to hatfeild.
and that was the last time i seen or heard from him. i know they been back there since. but no call on my end. :(
-
I unfortunately haven't been out lately but I haven't seen Nate in any of their videos lately for some reason. I don't know where he is?
But will do for sure!
-
i would love to meet up with you guys, i used to talk to Nate all the time, and meet them guys for rides, but for some reason we dont talk anymore.
i tried calling Nate before and sending him messages, but never heard anything back. but anytime you go out there call me. if I am not to busy
shoveling horse sh!t, i will come out and ride with you guys. I dont really ride the 2 strokes in the snow or winter that much. i usually take the king quad
but I am always down for a good ride.

John you just explained how we ride. Trying to make crazy stupid stuff and you gotta hop off grab front brake with one hand bumper with other lean back wedge fit into rear tire then once shes settled slowly start popping the clutch and go back down. YA buddy! John you hibernate or gonna come out with us in the snow?
-
yeah DP talking about THE PITTS/Yellow Creek/Wellsville Trails/The Ville.. remember its only 45 min ride for me to get there.
I dont think they even have hills on the west side of the state, well atleast not like we do. lol
arent you guys flat landers anyhow. lol you gotta have a big set of nads or just be crazy stupid
and know how to jump off your bike on the right side get on front tire and have hand on brake in a split sec, if you know what i mean...
i really dont care for the big hill climbs, i am fine just watching those crazy guys do it. but sometimes when you go down in the hollar. there is only one way out.
-
Looks like a sweet place to ride.
-
Yeah nobody I know (including myself) knows how to turn their damn phone sideways while shooting video.
-
Wha... I... I...have no words. PORTRAIT VIDEO AGAIN!! AHHHHHHHH.
Nice to see vids of Zilla in the woods. My 250 spent many hours on trails like that but the Zilla will never see them. As long as I own it, anyway.
Looks like fun!
-
Rumblin up the trail.
Can am will be shitty for where we ride and do and there isn't easy way around for most of it. If ya want you should come with just you and your bro then once ya get the feel of the place bring your group.
-
Just got a video from one of the guys on the ride. It's really short but eff it I'm linking it.
And DP I don't know who all will be down to come my dad will likely have his can am by then my brother isn't the most experienced but he's as crazy as they come.

Oh I'm making a trip up to Perry state park and wellsville next spring. I was referring to another ride where I went last weekend in the spring a big group gathering was what I was referring to in response to motoman. Gonna also be going to Attica Indiana to the badlands next spring as well.
-
they cant handle the what we have to offer on the my side of the state. lol
-
Yall doin it somewhere in OH ?
-
nice (Y) trails look sweet
-
If you wanna go next time there's a spring ride this spring.
-
That trip looks like a blast!
-
Looks like a great time! You did a good job on the zilla, a machine build right tends to be reliable.
-
Right clean up is still to come lol I'm not looking forward to it this mud is that clay mud that smells like ****! lol thanks Dale!
-
That's the way to represent ! Nice Job...and to think I was complaining to myself about getting a little sand off last weekend, Haha have fun.
-
Yeah that was my determination Grk, I didn't locktite everything because I was worried something would possibly break on the trail and I didn't want to fight loctite if it did. Turned out nothing broke so now I'm gonna go through everything make sure it's all tight engine and chassis wise then I'm gonna loctite everything on the plastics with blue and use big washers.
-
Looks awesome man! Great work.... I put some rubber washers under all the steel ones to sort of cushion and absorb some vibes.... Hopefully if I ever get mine done it will keep plastic from cracking.... It's doing a great job now as it sits in the garage! Lol
-
little hint.. lock tight works very well.
and on those fender bolts, try to use big washers i think they help from the fender mount areas cracking
-
Hey, alfalfa, I mean buckwheat, ahhh..........buckeye, "love the hair man" I've kept up on your build and it's great to see ya put your zilla through the paces! Looks like ya had a blast, look forward to more....
-
It was definitely rewarding especially considering my bike didn't break down once or have any mechanical issues minus losing some platic screws oh and I lost one of my rear fender supports (right side).
-
I bet that was an awesome trip after all of the troubles and challenges that you went through.
-
Looks like a blast. Wish I did something a fraction as fun this weekend.
-
That's cool to hear your Zilla made the trip without any problems to speak of. Usually I forget to tighten something.
Funny to hear your blasting your buddies to shreds!
The zook sounds great!
-
No I didn't blow them away but I did beat them by 5 or so bike lengths it was on gravel which definitely gave me an advantage don't know if I'd be doing the same on dirt without a wheelie bar.
-
So you blew away 450 and 250 dirtbikes too...?
-
I'm pretty sure his ltr was basically stock with a slip on it was an 09 and looked like it had never seen trails. He didn't even ride it on trails took his RZR instead. He couldn't believe it either. There's a pretty built LTR that runs at our local dirt drag strip I used to only lose by 2-4 bike lengths to him on my dads 400 I didn't even get in 3rd gear against my dads 400 so I know I'll run that built LTR.
-
Yall look like a wild group! Lookin forward to a group ride.
Glad to hear she held up and kicked some ass! I have hard time believing you blew a ltr away that bad, would like to seen video switched riders and on different terrain so there couldn't be any bitchin.
-
well glad it ran good for you. looks like a cool place to ride.

Damn what a weekend, took the 500 to Oneida KY in the middle of the Daniel Boone National Forest. Rode with a large group of mostly dirt bikes I was the only 2 stroke Atv. When we got to camp it was 9:30 Friday night and after unloading the 500 a crowd gathered it immediately got fired up and ripped through camp by a few friends. I was made several offeres to trade it for a 05 kicks start trx450r, a 400ex plus $2500, and a 06 yfz450r. We left camp Saturday morning around 9 am after I was requested to race a banshee (that broke during our 3rd race) a trx450r a ltr450 a ktm 300 dirt bike a yz450f a rm250 and a yz250. The Zilla went undefeated and none of the races were within 5-10 bike lengths. The 450's we're given a 5 bike length head start because they complained so much about how much gravel I blasted the banshee with, they still got blasted with gravel roost. All of this was supposed to have been recorded on a friends gopro none of it however was he accidentally hit the button twice so the video was 1 sec long after we uploaded it to the laptop big bummer!
The trails were very knarly lots of big rocks and deep side by side ruts two river crossings lots of mud holes and some really steep and long hill climbs. The start of the ride was a rough start, my first time having the 500 in trails what so ever (before or after the rebuild). It was a rough go getting used to the power and managing the wheel spin and front end lift. One thing that was very hard to get used to was the amount of power at low rpms the bike has compared to any other two stroke I've ever ridden. I could climb difficult long hills in 3rd gear and just lug my way up the hills. Once I realized this it made managing the power and riding the bike a lot easier.
All in all everything held together and the bike performed like a beast for an entire 9 hour ride. I did vibrate out some screws holding the plastic on. My airbox held up exceptionally well even through one river crossing that hand my motor under water with exception of the cylinder head. Was able to splash through mud holes and creek crossings at full speed. Well enough of my blabbing on to some photos and a video. Didn't take nearly as many photos or videos as I would've liked need to invest in a gopro for sure.
