Yep. Left that to my wife for the time being. Lmao!! Going back to welding. I am not a desk jockie.

I'm moving back to Missouri in a few weeks.
What???? Did you retire from chicken choking?
-
22-24" 12-14 extremes with a +6-+8 arm and wheelie bar would be a good start. I have a set of 10 paddle extreme 71-72" roll out on my +8 alky dragger. I have some 24" 14 & 16 extremes for my big bike I'm going to try on the zilla and see how they work.
Leerjack is in Patterson, Mo. There are a few other places over up by STL like Bonne Terre and St. Joe Park. And Thunder Valley in Grain Valley Mo.
I'm moving back to Missouri in a few weeks. Thunder Valley will be my new track. Oct 18 & 19 is their last races of the year. They have sand rail dragsters that run the track also.
-
Thanks. I just got a little concerned. One of these days I'm going to make my way out west to ride with some of you guys in the sand. For now, it's hills and trees in the lake of the ozarks, mo.
-
I think they would be ok with a 250. I have a motor from iceracer in my 250 that ive tried the kenda gecko 8 paddles on, they hooked pretty good
-
I recently bought an 88' lt250r, I got 4 sand shark tires mounted on rims. The rear has 8 paddles. I've never ridden in the sand but I have always wanted to. I planned on keeping them but from what I'm reading above, should I sell them? My motor is currently on its way to iceracer to get built. Will it be too much motor for these? I don't want to get out to the sand box and find out my sh-t won't even go.

good call diablo +k2
-
If you find that they are not enough paddle, you can always use them as your play paddles. Then invest in a new set of 10 paddle rippers for the drags.
-
il be runnin 300ft drags on flat ground, the haulers are 21-12-8s.(8paddle) il buy some blue label 10 inch wide wheels to put them on +k2 at the last drag there was a 500 there runnin 4snows lite porting with aaen pipe that was getting 5.3s 5.4time, my goal for the 1rst time is 4.8to 5.0 :P

i believe a big factor is the sand, the sand out where i ride 21" 8 paddles grab well for my ltr that is similar to your hp range. soft coarse sand provides good surface for the tires to grip. those other tires however your hpr motor would have destroyed them IMO. my stock top end tri z runs those and they work well for 250 motor. are you going to be racing on a flat straight or up hill?
i will say play with the air pressure on your paddles. i first try a few launches with about 2psi and see if i can launch hard but not have to let off the throttle bc i wheelie out of control. if that happens then i go to about 3.5psi and that seems take some of the initial bite out of the launch. that is for a short run race. if its going to be a long race >100meters ill just run them at a higher psi bc to much bite will slow you down the longer the race is.
the 3 "L's" of drag racing, longer, lower, lighter (Y)
good luck in your race, get pics and make the quadracer community proud

You will unless you get a 10 inch wide rim or something. The longer your swingarm the less traction you have too. So you're gunna spin the crap out of them. Also depends on what size run they are for too.
-
crap,do u think im gona just blow off these 8 paddles on the line? I will be using a plus 6 swinger with them :-\
-
273 i used 12 paddle extremes i think they where on my bike. I didnt have enough paddle maybe they woulda been better on some real wide wheels but that was what a friend had for me to use. I really wish i woulda used his 14 stags i think they woulda been alot better.
-
Yeah I'm hoping these 8 paddle haulers will be good enough. I've got an upper 70s motor from hpr. I wanted 10 paddles but I couldn't beat the price on these used haulers. plus I well only be using them a couple times a year, and even if I win, pay outs crappy :P
-
Hauler are the way to go for drags. If u have any kind of work in your engine, u would just spin those paddles
-
doesn't matter now, they only had one in stock so I canceled order, I bought the sett of 8 paddle haulers that were used on flea bay. basically I will be using them for 300ft sand drags, but prob only acpl times a year.
-
Not to burst your bubble but those tires do not compare to a hauler, much less one that had more paddles.those are on past with a glider or a gbc sand shark. Seen them up close. What type of riding will u be doing.
-
Il let u kno how they do, ofcourse itl be awhile, zilla frames out for powder coat right now +k2 il weigh them too when they get here
-
If prefer a molded tire but I ride harsher sand than most people lol the sand I ride is often pea gravel as well and well,, typical river
-
yeah thr molded, I don't have them yet but from what I read there supposed to be pretty lite, im sure not quite as lit as a hauler though, WAY cheaper tho
-
Looks like a molded tire.

This it?
Let me know how it does for ya please!
-
All you need is an 8 paddle for most duners. Are they molded tires? If so they will be heavy. Skat traks are shaved tires with paddles vulcanized on them. Making them lighter.
-
Anyone ever seen or used the Kings KT turbo paddle tires?? I just ordered a sett, there only 8 paddles but from what ppl are saying they are comparable to 10 paddle haulers, also much cheaper.(65 per tire)
