I really wanted to get something done through Ice racer but, I'm just a glutten for punishment and learning the hard way.

All joking aside... maybe you should read about what you might blow up because not even Ice Racer can make that engine last but...
This might get you started in the right direction...

Better add steak to those potatoes! Man it's almost lunch!
-
Specifically Russet baked potatoes with lots of butter and Sour cream, and acorn Squash with butter and brown sugar.
I had you pegged for a red potato kind-of-guy.

I can't wait. He emailed and told me to call after 7 and I'm getting ready to call him. I can't wait.
-
I'm calling Carl iceracer tonight. Going to ask him to tear my engine part, look for any damaged parts, get a port job, squash work, and I figure I might as well do the clutch, bottom end and anything else you guys can recommend.
Ice will be able to point you in the right direction and fix'er up for ya based on the type of riding you plan to do.
-
its called squish not squash not trying to bust your balls so dont take this the wrong way.

-
They dont have oil filters.
-
I think he means there is not a oil filter on a 250r
-
I just bought in bulk so I'd get a better deal and have extra left over.
-
What are the 3 oil filters for? [|]

I've got a new cyclinder from summit on the way, already received the top end gasket set, the new wiseco piston, and thrush washers have been ordered from the store above, and I need to order the RM bearing still. A new upper chain slide/ buffer is already ordered. I found somebody to weld the swingarm, I haven't checked the axle bearings yet. And I just discovered that the rod coming out of the transmission that you use to shift with, is bent. I wanted the squash cut, and a port job that would still be reliable. I do ride hard sometimes, but around here, there is nothing but hills so i wanted a torque-y engine to pull my 200lb bum bum up the hills. I live around the ozarks in missouri.

Clymers manual,

Pro Design Cool Head, 22 cc dome, 3 EMGO oil filters, blue MSR chain roller 38 mm, suzuki genuine parts tail light, that means oem right?

Woooow! I really didn't understand what u just said. This is exactly why I think somebody else should be doing this motor work. Sure I can turn a wrench and bolt on new parts, but I don't REALLY know what I'm doing. Just being honest. I'm in a hurry and just want this thing done so I can have something to do. Other than drinking or drugs. You see I'm a fully disabled vet of Iraq war. All I do is sit around the house all day, everyday with the kids. When I get bored, I start doing old habits to deal with stuff. If I could go riding, which, I love to do, I won't be calling old friends. I just want help getting going. Is there anybody that can help me get going? I got a lot of parts for the rebuild in today and I'm sure the rest will come in soon. I have the money, just need help.
-
If u are looking for a shift shaft, i have one that is really nice. Check your clutch assembly while u have the clutch cover off. Inspect that basket for excessive grooves from the clutch pack.
-
Is there anything I should check for while I've got it off?
-
Fixing the shifter lever is simple. The clutch cover needs to be removed because the shaft is pulled out from that side. No splitting the cases.
-
I thought you already had something lined up with Iceracer to fix the squish.
-
Squash milling, put it together, do a mild port job without loosing reliability, and I just discovered that the shifting lever on tranny is bent, so fixing that issue. If that requires splitting the case, I also want the engine and tranny looked over and fix what they find wrong. If there are other things you can think of to make the build last longer or perform better, then those too.
-
What are you wanting done to it. Just put back together or what.
-
Looking for someone to build my 250, ASAP. Parts have been ordered, who can get this in the shop right away and not take 3 months?
