32:1 Maxima SuperM in my 88 250R.
-
I have an 86' and I ran bel ray mc1 and just before I stopped riding it, I bought some h1R, ran 50:1 on pump gas(91 octane), it only had problems with cutting out after any extended period of Full throttle. I bought some racing fuel and mixed the oil to 30:1. It ran a tons better I just bought an 88' but it doesn't run, so I couldn't tell ya what to mix for the power valve years. It looks like a majority of people are saying 32:1 or better. Me, I couldn't care less if it smokes. I'm going the other way. Lol

#1> O0
I crack myself up

WOT- 24-7 Babay
-
for those guys running lean mixtures, what style of riding do you have?
-
Everclear runs good (Y)
-
i just run kerosene
-
I do alot wot throttle riding at 32 to 1 with 927 castor oil
-
Thats just the thing... I never know when I'm going to have wide open runs they just tend to start happening... (Y)
-
Oil is better 2 today then it was back then. If you got your jetting right should have no problem at 32 to 1. The lt will idle safe at 80 to 1 I think Jerry said once. They say if your going to run wide open throttle all the time to run more oil in them. 24 to 1 or 20 to 1. I add more to mine when I drag race .

In my 250 I run 32:1 with BP 93 pump gas with Klotz super techniplate oil. Smells great, smokes, but it's all cleaned out by the time I hit 4th wide open thru the field. Once it's warmed up, it still smokes a little, but revs right up, smells great. I feel like it's the perfect mixture of protection and performance. I have ran it at 40:1 before, but I just felt like 32:1 was safer and better.
When I raced motocross on a yz125, I used Blendzall castor oil at 50:1 with 110 octane. I would replace the piston and rings once per season and I rode ALOT!
-
I have run Maxim K2 at 40:1 and 36:1 on 91 pump gas... Never had any luck running at those ratios and keeping a top end. Currently at 32:1 but the Suzuki manual says 20:1 for the 250 engines.
How do you guys get away running such a lean mixture?

32:1 Golden Spectro is what I run in ALL my 2-strokes. I enjoy not having to rering for 13 years.
So you've been running this since you were 6?
I wish,, The blaster went 13 years before I tore it down to replace crank bearings, my uncle's TM100 literally lasted until the frame fell apart and he never put a set of rings in it. And it's a similar story for every other 2-stroke my family has owned
-
I use baby oil at a 5:1 ratio and there's always a trail of chicks in my wake yearning for me to impregnate them.

32:1 927 and vp 112 in my 250, never had a problem.

Man that OP,s bike really smokes.
-
I ran mc-1 at 50:1 in my 250 for 20+ years. No problems there either.
-
Bell Ray MC1 at 50:1. Crazy? Maybe, but no problems in 25 years.
-
I run Dominator 40:1 with AVGAS. 500 Fanatic built my engines. He recommends Dominator at 50:1. I just feel better with a little more oil.
-
I guess I am the only one here that runs Amsoil Dominator 50:1 with 110.
-
I run 32:1 in 500 and 250.
-
wtf oil are you running? Smokes like golden spectro or some other old cheap oil.
Advance Auto Parts special oil
-
i mix mine at 24:1 with alky at five gallons at a time. it barely smokes.
-
I pour 16oz in 5 gallons of fuel for 40:1
-
I've got mine mixed 25:1 with Sunoco 112 and amsoil dominator synthetic. Don't know how bad it smokes cause I still haven't started it for the first time. Doing 25:1 though cause ill primarily be drag racing.

32/1 with 110 renegade and 927, 500s and 250s. If you don't know, Renegade is what used to be Torco fuels. Sunoco is the best though.
-
With no power valve to gum up you can mix it a little on the heavier side with no worries. I mix this one at about 30:1 sometimes it gets a tad more oil. 4 oz in a gallon jug and plenty of room to mix it up. It is probably 28:1. Man you have a couple of fun bikes!
-
Thanks for the help guys, I don't want to take it for a ride and blow it up after one hard ride -->
-
They smoke less ( a little) after you get them all warmed up and reved through the gears to "clean it out" If you are out for a family ride you dont need as much oil. But if your wide open 6,8,10 seconds you need more. Impractical to switch back and forth and can affect jetting as well so I usually run 32:1 for most of my riding and yes it will smoke but thats fine. If i am going to be hammering it hard wide at the dunes i will go 24:1. IF you get you a good castor bean oil and stand behind the exhaust while it idles a while you can close your eyes the next day and think your riding again by the smell all over your clothes. My wife says I stink,, I just call it "MY 2 -Stroke MUSK"
-
32:1 for my 250. And yea, they smoke...they burn oil.
-
i run 32:1 in my 500 motors and neither smoke that much.
-
Whatever they came with. Both of them run stock air box with an FMF. One is getting the FMF changed for a stocker. What jets should I be running?
-
What size jets are you running
-
I run my zilla at 28:1 and my 250s at 32:1
Same here. They are 2 stroke engines. They are supposed to smoke.
-
LT number one.

LT number 2. idle screw is backed all the way out and it's still running!

I mixed this 32:1 and it just seems awfully smokey
-
I run my zilla at 28:1 and my 250s at 32:1
-
So after being schooled on the correct mixture for my 'Zilla, --> I'm curious what y'all are running in your 250s.
