Title: Re: NEED A FULL EXHAUST! FOR THE LT500R

Im sure this has been looked at before but ill ask anyway. What about adjustable pipe hangers? Ive ran them on a banshee before, just a couple oblong shaped aluminum backets with a delrin bushing in the middle to pivot on. The ones i used would account for about a 3 inch circle for pipe mounting locations.

A hybrid pipe is more than installing the mounting brackets in a different location on the standard pipe body.  The cone sections also have to be rotated and welded together differently to make the pipe clear the frame tubes and other components on the different chassis.

What about a hpr19 hybrid pipe? Have you produced one yet jerry?

Yes we have built hybrid pipes, but I must have the bike or frame for pipe section assembly to do it right.  Do not waste your money on a jig build hybrid pipe.  The reason  guys are having trouble with fitment is: EVERY HYBRID BIKE IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT.  If a mounting hole is a half of bolt hole off, the pipe and brackets will be running in constant stress before the stress of vibration is added.  The added stress of poor fitment leads to premature failure of  the pipe body and brackets.

The hand coned pipes come on a little higher in the rpm range compared to the v1.

The ones produced (not sold) by shearer are stamped. The hand coned pipes obviously are coned. Motoman has a hand coned hybrid pipe I have a Q v1 stamped pipe maybe when he gets his bike running and I get mine figured out (reeds and carb issues) we can swap and see if there's a difference if they'll fit, his being a hybrid pipe mine being a regular 500 framed pipe.

Anybody got pics

I have no experience with Q pipes other than the dyno testing done on two separate occasions

What's the difference between a hand coned q pipe and his run of the mill pipe shearer sells? Anybody got pics or an explanation in how to two differ performance wise?
