I dont think their the same. Do you need a 87 airbox with boot

Yeah I need a airbox and boot.  Decided I'm gonna build off a 250 I  bought for the motor so I can hopefully keep riding the other as soo as I can find a set of counter balancer gears.

An 86 airbox should fit in an 87-90, but they have different filters, filter holders, wing bolts, and outlet tubes between them.
The 86 tube will probably not work on the newer engine.

Title: air box question
Post by: Chrisr on July 27, 2013, 01:47:43 pm
Will a 1986 air box fit a 87-90 frame and will the 1986 intake tube from the air box to carb work a 87-90 motor?
