Only the billet is available now, but the cast versions are on pre-order and are supposed to be available shortly....
The cast is a cheaper version I take it?Don,t really know anything about them but am familiar with lectrons.Heard they were more $$$ than the lectrons, not sure how they compare performance/tunability wise.

Isn,t the Apt carb somewhat similar in principle to the Lectrons.I heard that the patents ran out on the Lectrons and that's when the APT came on the market? Are they a cast carb?
The patents on the Lectron should have expired around 1994 or 1995. I think that the patents are only good for 17 years.

1rst time ive heard of them P* im getting a diff carb soon, this pwk sucks lol, Jerry if u test any let us no the results
They contacted me a couple of years ago. They wanted me to be a repair/warranty center for their products in the Phoenix area. Sears, Kmart and a few other large retailers would be selling their products.
After reviewing their product line it was an easy decision for me not to become involved with a company that produced what I considered cheap and poorly designed products.
I could not find any information on their web site that described how the carburetor functions and what features would make the carburetor perform like advertised. The billet carburetor appears to have a circuit similar to the old obsolete CV type carburetors that plagued many of the 4 stroke street bikes.
I feel sorry for the farmers and ranchers that invested their money in this company.

Just curious as there have been people raving about this product (the billet version as the cast one is not avail. just yet).... KTM forums, CR500's, trx250r's....everyone seems to have good feedback..... anyone try one on a Zilla yet?
Jerry...any experience w/ it yet or thoughts?
Give me a link so than I can look at it.
I really doubt that there will be any improvements in peak power from new carburetors, throttle bodies or any other device that adds fuel into the air stream.
Touted improvements in fuel atomization/vaporization from carburetors or fuel injection is usually snake oil. Atomization/vaporization does not occur when the fuel enters the air steam no matter how small you make the droplets. Atomization/vaporization requires a lot of heat and the majority of vaporization does not occur until the mixture is trapped in the cylinder and undergoing compression. Compression adds a tremendous amount of heat to the mixture. The high turbulence remaining in the cylinder from the scavenging process, pipe plugging process and the small amount of turbulence from the squish velocity does the final mixing before ignition occurs not as the fuel enters the air stream.
The advantages of fuel injection is the ability to meter fuel more precisely at partial throttle NOT improved atomization/vaporization at full throttle. The same goes for new carburetor designs.
In all of my testing and studying test results for the companies that I do engine consulting for, I have never seen any difference in power in a carburetor or fuel injection on a two stroke when the carburetor and throttle body have the same air flow numbers at wide open throttle.
