That engine looks really nice.
-
make it a sleeper chuckie
my next one will be lol

I'm wondering if the bluish green color on some OEM frames (I have seen it) is a result of UV damage on bikes that have sat out in the sun.
-
I want to back up Nopick's advice also.
My recent rescued 1987 Zilla w/ OEM painted frame sitting next to my restored Zilla PC's in RAL5010 is almost a dead on match.
-
I got the frame, bumpers, engine mount spacers, and rear hubs done in blue by Liberty Powdercoating here in Michigan. IDENTICAL to 19F Champion Blue. Not even a little off. The color code is RAL 5017.
I did an entire frame in RAL 5017 and it looked so bad I had it redone in RAL 5010. Look through the build pics link in my signature to see some examples.
The best advice I can give you is to have the powercoater do a sample part before you commit to the color. I hated the way 5017 looked!
Honestly I like the Krylon blue a LOT better. The Suzuki blue is kinda off looking. Looks almost like it has a green tint to it
If you like Krylon True Blue, RAL 5010 is the powdercoat code to use. The Krylon color is very very close to the original blue on the main tube of my 250 under the tank. That is as original as you can get. I have owned it since it was new and it has never been repainted or exposed to the weather.

The paint on the motor is holding up very well.

I will check that paint out next tine im in town .
-
the easiest closest place ive found in a rattle can believe it or not is the krylon blue at walmart.. unless you had a Suzuki blue frame next to it you wouldn't tell a difference its that close
-
I ended up powder coating the frame. 500 Fanatic painted the engine with automotive paint. I just wanted a color close to the original blue. I think I could paint the odd part with true blue and wouldn't be noticed.
-
Take a look at the build pictures link in my signature. It will give you an idea how well Krylon True Blue matches. It also has some comparison of power coat colors.
thats the exact color i used. i had a can of the PJ1 Suzuki blue and i sprayed it on a piece of metal and went in to walmart and picked through the colors till i found the cloest match lol
-
Thanks nopick. That looks really good and nice . Also did you use a clar coat .

pink and white looks boss AND is a very optimistic color scheme.
Cancer sucks camal d**k.
-
Can't go wrong with white!
Except that it gets dirty easily lol.
But pink with yellow plastics would be cool because for cancer.
-
Purple frame, white plastics.. Its a cool combo
-
Or i could do pink . Cause the wife has cancer .
-
Can't go wrong with white!
