You have to use a REALLY good degreaser on the flange and now the pipe. Silicone won't stick to oil, period.

try ultra gray silcone it holds up to the heat better. and the bolt you are talking about is you bleeder for getting air out of you cooling sistem. try retaping the hole or get a new bolt.

May have to retap the head where the bleeder screw goes.

The bolt he is talking about is the bleeder bolt for the coolant.

there should be a round gasket that goes over the flange . and meets with the pipe . and as for your other problem .those are head bolts and that is your head . the not staying tight means that the stud is stripped and you need to replace it . hope this helps .

Ok so I bought a new DG pipe for my 250 and it leaks at the flange. I used some copper rtv rater at 700 degrees and it blew out after about an hour of riding. Does the DG not use the stock flange? Is there some other kind of rtv that would work better? I let the rtv sit for a week before I fired up my bike. Also there is a little bolt next to the spark plug that was leaking a little bit while running. I went to tighten it down and it seems to be stripped it get kinda tight then gets loose again. I got it to where it isn't leaking anymore, but it worries me. Is the fix just replacing the valve cover? If that is what its called, I am new to 2 strokes. Thanks for any input you have.
