That explains that; re-sent to the new address
-
It's @live.ca
-
still cworobec@shaw.XX ?
If so I already re-sent it, maybe check you spam?
-
No I didn't receive it Brett. Can you resend it?
-
Chris,
I sent you an email about getting these made at TM Design works, did you get it?
Bret
-
It's not listed anymore because I called and asked if they have old stock and they don't have any and can't get any.
-
It was listed when i posted the link for some reason its not shown now in the drop down menu.
-
They don't have any stock and can't get any.
-
this place seems to have them available
http://www.tqsatv.com/products.php?cat=Chain+Guides+%26+Rollers
-
ok then He should send me an OEM chain slider to Germany.
and I rip the TM out and send it up to him ...
I think he do not live without TM. ;-)
-
Yes Frank that is the part.
TM Design works does not make the part any more and Chris was trying to get some custom made.
-
You can not live without the part?

-
Chris, will you start a new thread about this? Much better visibility.
-
Would a z400 chain slider work, looks close to the same design
-
Yes get on this Chris!
Still need at least one of these too.
-
Any word on these slides in need of one too
-
8 months ago i was ready for one. wtf chris get on it.. lol
your not calling burgard are you lol
-
I'm on board still...
Haven't abandoned ship
-
Huh? I'm calling down there again today to see what's up with them.
-
Nevermind.... OOS
-
Just waiting on a price. He's narrowing down material costs
-
bump...
So OEM is the only option for a front chain slider?
-
Any word on these chain sliders? In need of a TM deignsworks...
-
Hmm Ill check thanks John.
-
I'd take three.
-
i think you can still get the 250, this is for th e500
-
For $35 Ill take 2 for the 250's.
-
Count me in for one (maybe two if they're 35 beans).
-
2 for the zilla for me. @ $35
does burgard swinger use banshee front slider or oem, might need 3
-
I'm in for two myself
-
I am in for one if we can get them before i put my swing arm back on ( 2 months)
-
Yeah I am going to get a price on volume. I am looking for at least 5 for sure maybe more.
-
I have talked to the owner of TM design works and they said we'd have to order 100 to have them do a run and I told we'd have to have a discounted price of we ordered 100.
If we can come up with demand for 100 I wonder if we could get them for $35 each, since retail was $50 each?
If not Crowbec's CNC project is the next best thing.
Chris, can you have your guy quote prices based on volume?
I know I'm in for least 2, maybe more depending on the price.
**If there $35 each I'd be in for 5, if we could get 20 guys to buy 5 each we'd have our 100 and we could let TM do the work. They do need the money up front he said.
-
I'd say$59.95 sounds about right
+k2. P*
-
I am working on it. Just waiting to have the cnc guy look at it. First thing they are going to ask is how many and that will help determine the price. I have one at a friends place, just waiting for his cnc guy to stop in and pick it up. I guess I need to know what people are willing pay, myself I don't care if it costs me 100 a piece but I know not everyone agrees, but I know they last so it doesn't bother me. But with limited numbers being made I really can't say a price but I know he's gonna ask if its even worth the time.
-
Sure. Send me some measurements and pictures. I'll see what I can come up with.
-
yeah he is never home, he works on the road, but he does pop in every now and then.
how about one for the 250, bet you can get some testing done on one of them first, i even have one of those. :)
lots of 250's running around
-
If anyone has one of these sliders and is willing to send me some detailed measurements and good pics from all angles, I will draw up a model and print one in ABS or Nylon (ABS is less expensive but nylon is more flexible) and send it out to someone for testing. I have no idea how durable it will be but it is worth a shot because it will be MUCH less expensive to print one than it will be to have it CNC milled.
I PM'd Cworobec about this. He is interested as well but it seems he is away from home a lot.
-
Chris any update on this yet?
-
UP DATE UP
-
-->
-
Black is my first choice or a nice candy blue--I will be putting my quad together in december so I am interested in one up to the point I get my swing arm on. If its after that, I would not want to pull it off again,
-
It's not dead yet. Just waiting for the cnc guys to get back to me.
-
I just wanted to see if this is moving along or dead in the water?
-
I will take one, let us know when ya hear more.
-
The 87 bolts through the rail of the swing arm top to bottom, the 88-90 just bolts to a tab that's welded on the face of the side of the swing arm. Cunninghams mounts like the 87.
-
So the 88'-90' chain slider will work on a 87' swinger? What was the change in design?
-
I run a tm designs chain slider on mine and it mounted up great. Didn't need to drill any holes. Tyler adjusted his jig for the updated chain slider I do believe. Just tell him you want it to use the 88-90 chain slider.
-
That would be up to you. My swinger uses a banshee rear chain guide and a banshee axle.
-
I've got an 87' and will be ordering a metal tech swinger soon and I'll need a front slider. So will they build a swinger for the zilla to accept a banshee slider, or do I order one of these send it to them to build the swinger around it?
-
Look at the pic i posted u can see how mine is bolted u can see the bolt heads behind the chain. My swinger is prob 4 yrs or so old. If i could go back id have use a banshee front slider everything else is banshee design.
-
How old is your swinger Cunningham? The 87 Zilla had a bolt hole through the top of the slider and 88-90 did not my metal tech arm was built to use the 88-90 style which is exactly the same fit except it bolts on the face when your looking at it
-
The stator cover is ris designs and case saver is homemade.
-
I have mine on my +3 metaltech swinger in the pic i had to drill holes in top and bottom and machine 2 spacers. I called tyler and asked whats up he said it was set up for a lt5 chain guide are they any diffrence in years?
-
Will these work on aftermarket swingers as well as the stock swinger?
-
What material are these sliders made from?
-
Buck I know that, just wondering where or how he made some of those parts.
-
i never understood why the prices for the chain sliders on any quad was so high. not that everything isnt expensive but its poly/plastic
-
$75 isn't bad, if its the last slider you'll buy. they cost about that when tm made them. worth every penny. the white one in my pic is the first one i bought way back in 99. theres still life left in it.
-
Dangerous that's Cunninghams #820 bike.
-
That's pretty sweet and I will be in the market to get one, seems a little high priced though. Cworbec who did up the stator cover and chain gaurd ?
-
Yeah it has to be removed. And I should hear next week how long it will take and the cost
-
Does the swing arm have to be removed to install this chain slider? I believe so but does anyone know?
-
Man sweet chain guide

here u go best pic i got.
-
Did you ever take a pic of your original one or does anyone have a pic of an original tm design one?? Hard to commit to spending $75 on something I've never seen.
-
I would take one if it doesnt take too long to get them
-
I'm gonna need to sell more than one lol
-
I need at least one
P*
-
How many people would take one for 75$?
-
Interested
P*
-
Just waiting for the cnc guy to get back to me. They will be made out of pretty much the same material as the tm design ones, just tryin to see what the cost is going to be. Probably goin to cost a little more than we first expected. Might be about 75$ just waiting to find out
-
Keep us posted. thanks
-
Ok I will be sending mine out this coming week and then I will have an idea of how long it will take to make them and a price.
-
Get to work man HAHA, let us know if your making any progress.
-
I have been on the road working. I will be looking into it as soon as I get home
-
Cwrobec----any progress on getting those made? How about an update. Is it something you are actively working on or Passively in non existent spare time?
-
They aren't made yet. They will be like the tm design ones though
Will they be made from the same impregnated plastic as the TM design ones?
If so I'll take 2 maybe..maybe 3?
-
9.98 sounds really fair to me. :)
-
I meant of the one you are having copied lol
-
They aren't made yet. They will be like the tm design ones though
-
pics?
-
That's a ball park guys lol I have to get a final price once I am able to ship mine down for measurements and then did out material cost etc.
-
$40 sounds sweet
-
Im good with $40.
-
What do you guys feel is a fair price? The tm ones were forty bucks weren't they?
-
Im down for one! (if the price is right) <1>
-
Well if you guys can find out how many are needed, then I can get a price. The more the better.
-
I would be down for one if it's not too badly priced..
-
I am having some made privately
Can you give a rough price estimate?
-
I am having some made privately
-
Are you making your own or having tm design make up another batch--I would assume they still have the tooling or program to cut them (how ever they are made) I am in for one if its possible to get it in the next month or so.
-
you know i need a few, lmk
-
Hi yeah I'm interested (Y)
-
Any pics of what it is? What's it used for?
-
I am going to be getting some made. How many people are interested one?
-
no longer made anymore
-
Where do I get me a TM design Chain slider--seems like I remember some members were trying to have some made or round some up. Any Ideas?
