-
9 hour drive for me I doubt I'll be making that trip this season.
-
its 5hr ride for me,
-
Days I can go April 12th and May 3rd possibly May 23rd 24th or 25th. From june on I try to go riding every other weekend.
-
I just called reading anthracite and there is no camping on their property.
-
Id be down for a ride up there but id like to camp too. Its about
3 hrs each way for me. Maybe a lil more.
-
I don't know i never camped out there.
-
is there any camping in that area.
-
Cool man. If any of you guys want to get together for a ride on any of the reading anthracite property's let me know. It would be cool to ride with some other LT guys.
-
I enjoyed St Clair a lot. Should be getting my season pass soon.
-
I do most of my riding in Pottsville and st clair and those two places are on reading anthracite property. There is more trails more places to open up the zilla and there is hills.
-
So when are we all going? lol
-
At this point in my life i definitely have my limits. I think i would cry if i had to watch my quad or dirt bike roll down one of those hill. LOL
-
Reading anthracite owns the property. If you buy the access permit for $125.00 per year you can ride on all there property's legally. I buy the permit for the year.
Oh wow didnt know that thanks lol!! And im with everyone, I LOVE climbing but it gets to a point where your just afraid to mess something up. Is it sad to say that I'm way more concerened that my quad will take a beating rolling down a hill then my body haha?!
-
sometimes pictures and vids do not really show how fugging steep those hills really are.
i like hills but i have a limit. or i value my quad way more. lol
-
I like the hills but some of those hills that go strait up at the top are not for me. LOL
-
That place is fun. I've only been there once and had a blast. I didnt try climbing the bigger hills as I love my bike too much to risk it rolling all the way down in case i didnt make it over the top.

I was reading through the previous comments and am kind of confused.... is Trevorton legal to ride at?? I though it was just one of those ride at your own risk places like Hillsville or Wellsville.
-
Anybody riding at trevoton or any of the other Reading Anthracite property's in PA this year?
-
Did some trail riding at trevorton yesterday.
-
I took the easy way up both of them. lol yeah played a little bit on both of them. I took a look at the hill your buddy's were climbing in that video and i just looked at it. I wasn't feeling that one. lol
-
Good stuff! You go up the monster hills and 2nd and 3rd pics??
-
Just got back from trevoton. I plan on going back in a week or two
-
Know problem glad i could help. I was looking at the pics i have in my computer and those pics i posted for trevorton are not trevorton pics they are pottsville pics and for some resin i cant find my trevorton pics in my computer. Oh well i will have to take some more next week.
-
Yep she flipped into that washout then flipped back onto her wheels and rode the rest of the way down!!! Preacher (gary) got really messed up in that accident too. ???
-
Thanks! Good info ken, i didnt wanna drive up to their office if i didnt have to. Im planning on getting the paperwork done in the next 2 weeks, then its just up to the docs to give me the ok to ride. My summer is wasting away while im in this boot. Grrrr

After you get your quad registered and insured you can make a copy of your registration insurance and drivers license and mail it in with the access permit form http://www.readinganthracite.com/access-permits/RA_ACCESS-PERMIT-2013-web-v1.pdf or you can just go there. http://www.readinganthracite.com/access-permits/
-
DL as in drivers license. As far as insurance, you only need liability insurance to ride in PA to protect against injuries or property damage. My yfz has full coverage for 128$ a year. I have not been able to track down good full coverage for the zilla yet. Guess ill have to go with liability for now.
Last i checked you need to go to RACs office in pottsville in person to get the sticker.
-
Ive always wanted to go to trevorton. Any 1 have any plans? ill bring my yz.
-
Did the Honda rolled down the hill at the end of the first video.
-
Ill have a title for my soon to be kfx450 but not my LT.. Can someone post link to this registration you speak of! And I will need to talk to a guy I know from the group I ride with to see what all they required when they went.
this is them.

Whats a dl#? And i live in pa so i shouldnt have a problem. Anyone know what insurance usually cost for one of these?
-
The $125.00 for the tags is well worth it to ride at Trevorton St Clair Pottsville and Centralia
-
I live in md and we dont have an option for registration. I registered my yfz in PA 2 years ago for $20. Dont remember if they needed a title. It was very laid back. I think we brought our titles to the mc shop and they didnt even look at them. Just the vins and our DL #s. took about 20 mins, we got temp tags and rode the weekend in a michaux state forest.
I heard that you also need a RAC sticker. Currently $150 for the calender year i think. Im sure some savvy locals ride without the sticker, but i didnt want to chance it driving 3-4 hours to get an impound. Thats the only reason i havent gone. If i can get 3 + good rides a year in, the $150 seems worth it considering the amount of riding area you get for that.
-
I live in new jersey and the DMV will not register my lt so i called Reading Anthracite Company and they said that the dmv in pa would register a untitled atv even know i don't live in pa. But i will be going there next week with no registration.
-
I would try to make the ride i know my buddy and his fourstroke friends go up there and camp out for the weekend. Im about 2 hoursish away from there. How would one go about geting registration for a lt that dosent have a title? Im pretty sure my buddy just goes without issurance or registration
-
Yes those are pics of trevorton. Dirt bikes need to be insured and quads need registration and insurance but it dose not have to be a pa registration. http://www.readinganthracite.com/access-permits/
-
Ken, are those pics of trevorton or wells ville? I read all this stuff about needing a permit, insurance and pa registration to ride at trevorton.. True?
-
I'm in on this ride. I'm about 2.5 hours from there. Next week will be my 4th time there so don't count on me being a guide. lol
-
I would be down for a ride but would like to plan when a few guys from this site go down. http://wellsvilletrails.com/forum/index.php As they hook up with the big banshee guys that really know the entire area. Also it definitely wont happen this month for me as my quad isn't even done yet due to someone! (pg) But maybe late August ?
-
Just saw in another thread that a number of us are within a few hours of trevorton. I have never been but always wanted to go. Im prob. About 3 1/2 hours from there.
When my ankle and wrists finally heal, i wanna head up there. Do you need to buy the sticker from RAC? Would like to get a ride together maybe late july or sometime in august. Hopefully can hook up with some guys who know the trails and ins and outs of riding up there.
