Does the cylinder have a steel sleeve or are the gouges in the aluminum. Nikasil is a nikel and silicone plating over aluminum. These came oem nikasil. To repair and replate nikasil, it's probably cheaper to have a steel sleeve put in.

Post by: Kyle T on June 05, 2013, 12:01:06 pm: Advanced makes an 83-84 sleeve, Wiseco makes an 82-85 piston, send them to Eric Gorr. He's got some sort of coating for steel sleeves. Good for a LONG time. +k2

Post by: Ciaran on June 05, 2013, 10:34:59 am: Cylinder was marked very deep. Needs to be bored over 1mm. Where can I get a piston thats 1.25 or above?Or what other pistons fit these bikes?
