Im glad I have had good luck the 3 times my motor has been sent off over the last 25 years. Twice to CT racing and everything done on time and this last time to DRQ who promised 3 weeks and it arrived back at my door a week and a half later. MY shocks from PEP took almost 3 months but at least wayne of PEP informed me it might be that long as it was is busy season. We feel your frustration and there is no excuse for they way things have been handled. good luck.
-
i thought you heard something by now. it didnt take but a few weeks to get my last tranny done. thats weird man
-
Dont feel bad buck i my tranny was paid for and being shipped out a month ago from wcr. im pretty sure this is where i draw the line and find some1 else who can override a zilla tranny. Actually if i ever get mine back im gonna send it to jerry see if he can do it.
-
Makes you wonder if he's slow playing this ordeal.
Mitch mentioned he has a set of cases out for repair, he's paid for it but has nothing to show for it.
Man am I glad I went with Mr Hall, my carb & manifold should be on his doorstep. Last parts to be modified, everything else is done!
After reading about others being slow played I think I would make a trip to see my parts.... -->
-
Parts still haven't shipped. I literally could've learned to port a cylinder myself by now. This is pathetic! Thursday you know or learn that you billed me a week ago. Getting my **** done should be at the tip top of your priority list and should be done by EOD Monday at the absolute latest ready to ship out first thing Tuesday morning.

I can't remember the mods name, but he got stripped of mod status, then was banned because he griped on the forum because it took 3 weeks for his stuff to get sent back to him. It was still in his box, unopened when he finally got it back.
I remeber that to. He said about his parts being gone or never got them back. She said he was mad about getting his mod striped from him.Its locked on one of the thread on here somewhere.
-
Thanks Mitch and voodoo I sure hope my parts don't come back in the se coffee maker box I sent them down it cause I paid Matt for a new piston 99rm bearing and thrust washers 2 months ago. There was no extra space in the box I sent to fit that stuff in it.
-
Well hope you get your items soon.

I'm gonna have to jump on that bandwagon with you dangerous! Delete me on your site because you can't keep your **** straight and send people their parts in a timely manor. Then run around telling everyone else to grow up! Haha my build thread on their site has over 3200 views delete my account I'll wipe my thread.
-
Uh Oh, watch out you could end up being banned from there site.
Haha ya it would be pretty bad if they banned one of their mods lol.
Its happened before...
Well I hope it doesn't happen to me but just because Tiffany can't get her stuff together right now isn't my fault so if it means losing my account over there so be it I just want my quad done.

Dangerous sorry to hear you're dealin with it too. I agree Matt is a super nice guy and I was so patient up until I was getting told my stuff was done or would be done in a week. Now it's close to 4 weeks since I was told my stuff would be done and its now paid for and still not in route to me. My patience at this point is gone if she thought me texting once every couple weeks was a lot she's really gonna hate when I start calling every 5 minutes from 5 different phone numbers (gotta love lots of work lines). If I didn't have my sons second birthday Saturday and getting my marriage license tomorrow and other errands and dr appointments I'd drive down there and get my parts myself its only 6 hours round trip. I'd also take a little time to coach Tiffany on customer service and communication as it pertains to a successful business plan.
That's exactly what happened here. she kept texting me or I should say I texted her and everyday I got there goin out tomorrow, well that went on literally everyday well tell ya what next week if I don't get some answers me and you can take turns calling every other 5 mins lmao cause I will get this quad done very soon, its got dragged out FAR to long now.
-
Mitch thanks but Matt is including a set or two. Besides that if you sent them out today they'd probably beat my parts here.
-
You don't have to travel that far to get your ass handed to you by a 500. I'm only like 15 minutes away hahaha
Lmfao love it thats not cocky thats confidence!
-
Buck, I buy the O rings in lots of 10, I prefer the silicone over viton, If you need one out today contact me see if I can get it in the mail today.

We'll line them up once mines built for sure Chris. There's drags at dirt country June 29th. Of course that's dependent on if I ever get my parts back!
-
for a utility bike it sure is fast. jen shows you up on the regular correct john?? -->
-
Cunningham you're correct my man and I'm learning my lesson the hard way. I just want my parts is all so I can finish building my bike and get it running. I don't have a lot of doubt that Matt's work will be good and maybe in the end I'll look back and say this last few weeks of stress and worry about getting my parts back in a timely manner was worth the money saved. Right now it doesn't seem that way maybe when my parts are in my hands my mind might change. I chose a builder based on price because it wasn't my wallet taking the burden of paying for it. Next time I build a bike trust my parts will go to likely Jerry or Carl. And I look forward to hopefully making a trip up to south western pa and getting my ass handed to me by your zilla on the strip! Lol

lets just face it I have the fastest bike in ohio. :)

My stuffs done at Jerry's, I just need to send my tm38 & intake, last things to be done.
You call Jerry and he will stop and take the time to tell you what's going on.... (Y)
-
You guys have bad luck, I dropped of a cylinder and head at Halls on Friday. It was ready to pick up on Tuesday. Fast and I know it's done right.
-
Remember a while back on a post i said you get what you pay for? Im not trying to be a dick or anything but this is what i was talking about. Hope you get everything straightened out so you can come race wit me this summer. +k2

Damn Bud you I hate to say it me being a mod for his site and all, but I'm kind of going through the same thing but Im just gonna be paitent about it even though it was supposed to be done for memorial day it was not even close.
I've talked to Matt many times over phone guy seems like he would give ya the shirt off his back, but tiffany was really nice and helpful then I bought some parts from their salvage yard and paid in full really quickly and every day I texted her seeing if she got them shipped. Nope tomorow. I still dont have all my parts. Let alone my swingarm being built and top end but that I completley understand on because he is absolutley burried in work.
I really do like matt and his work but the shipping and communication is becoming a little bit of a problem for me too, I really do hate to say it. :-\
-
Something along those lines. I haven't called them until today, not once, and before the last few weeks when every week I was being told my parts should be done this week, I only texted once ever 1 to 3 weeks if that. I can screen shot the text history it's really pretty funny after all this "your stuff should be done this week, no I meant this week no I meant next week" crap I didn't lose my patience until this week after 2.5 months and the run around basically for almost a month now. And when I was invoiced for the work last Wednesday I paid the invoice in full within about 2 hours of receiving it (only because I was at work). Then it didn't ship Thursday and I was told on Thursday night it would go out tomorrow (being last Friday). Now here it is you've had payment in full for the work for a week now and my parts still aren't in transit to me.
-
So she said you was hassling her every day to Matt!!
-
Matt was unaware I was told about the parts going out. Super nice guy and I don't blame him he was clueless and had been lied to regarding my communications with Tiffany. He was informed I had been calling an texting daily hassling her about every little detail when in fact over the course of two and a half months I only asked for status updates on the work being done once ever two to three weeks until I was told three weeks ago it should be done within a week which turned into another week and then another. It seems like she is overwhelmed with the business and customer service side of things and doesn't know how to effectively communicate to Matt or his customers. It's sad really Matt is a super nice guy and was completely empathetic to the misinformation I was fed. I don't fault him but really if your allowing someone to have control over customer communication it needs to be your job to ensure accuracy or hire someone who is capable of completing that portion of the business.
Motoman there's a brotherhood field drag next weekend I'm not sure of the location my dad and brother know where it is I was just gonna show up and give the zilla some shake down runs to use that meet as a measuring stick and tuning experience.
-
Inexcusable, I can cut people slack but if they tell me it has shipped and go to the effort to provide a tracking number on an uninsured never shipped item-----well---I would have to make the assumption that is beyond incompetence, I would assume intentional deceit----=I would stay away from deception with a 10 foot pole regardless of quality work. I feel your pain and hope everything runs great. Matt may or may not even be aware of all this......if not he should be.
I just had my first experience getting stiffed buy an e bay seller. I purchased some yfz450 shocks for my rappy. I paid seller and never heard another word nor ever received the product. Pay Pal/ebay was quick and wonderful to issue me a full refund. I wish it was that easy for you buckeye.
-
curious to here what matt said about you being lied to..
-
That really blows....
Being told about a firm delivery date, prepping for a race, then learning the parts aren't ready ... Oh man and not being updated as to the later delivery! Inexcusable.
-
What a ****. Where do you plan on racing?
-
So just got a call from Matt my parts haven't even shipped yet I've been lied to twice by Tiffany saying my parts went out last Friday then they went out Tuesday and now Matt tells me they haven't gone out and likely won't for another few days at the most. What a nightmare this is when I'm planning on racing next weekend and took time off work next week to test everything and do all my heat cycles and break in.
-
It also says on Paypal it was shipped in a large flat rate box and a cylinder, head and carb won't fit in a large flat rate box.
-
No USPS Q2W and that tracking number has no record you can get a tracking number through USPS by going to the site and paying for it doesn't mean you ever sent something out. Now my texts and calls are being ignored when I used to at least get a response acknowledging my question. It's ok problem will get solved one way or another if I have to drive 2.5-3 hours to clarkson ky and get my parts I will do just that. There was no insurance paid for on that tracking number so if it was lost its MHR's responsibility to replace it or I'll file theft charges and resolve the issue that way.
-
Easy tiger, MHR can't help UPS's slow arses.
-
Sounds like your getting mad now Buckeye. The waiting game sucks . But should be worth it when its all back together.
-
Well after two days from date of supposed shipping my parts still haven't been delivered and MHR is one day transit time from me. The tracking info 9405509699939982120041 with the USPS hasn't updated or changed. So now my build has been delayed a month and a half I've been lied to about when my parts shipped out once already and now apparently a second time. Here's the kicker though MHR didn't even insure the package containing roughly $1500 worth of parts. And now I get no response from Tiffany at all because she's so high and mighty and has no clue how to deal with customers!
-
Im going to pay a little more for my setup on my topend .But also i didnt have a carb done. Im going to pay around same price for my topend but no carb work as you did. so your price was pretty good. But when you want work done next time call Jerry Or Iceracer. You will get the customer service you would from them guys i said above. Well your almost done time to make some videos of your quad here soon. Maybe we can ride somewhere this summer or this fall. I can't wait to get my quad back up and running im about 1 week to 2 weeks away now myself.
-
Rider I just pm'd you
-
If you feel the costs of services/parts was great then I'd accept it and go on. Sounds like you might not feel that way. Communication is key.
-
I have a buddy that can't get his Banshee cylinders back from MHR since last YEAR!!!
Emails, Calls, Facebook, blah blah blah.................
-
I had my cylinder bored, an aggressive but still reliable port job for drag/trail riding, head cut for o rings and machined to correct squish, carb bored from stock 38mm to 41.5mm. All of this cost me $435 and took 2.5 months I also bought a new wiseco to match the bore and 99rm wrist pin bearing an billet thrust washers. That was $160 for everything. And I'm not bashing MHR I'm simply sharing my experience up until about 2 weeks ago communication was great however, eta on completetion was as elusive as the road runner through out the entire 2.5 months.
-
Careful, you'll make Tiffany come and rage on the forums with caps lock and colors.
-
I use Carl and Jerry for my work i can call either one and talk to them about my stuff anytime i need to, How much did your work cost buckeye if you dont mind me asking you.
-
Let me clarify I haven't been speaking with Matt because he's apparently to busy to speak to customers so I've been communicating with Tiffany this entire time.
-
Communication shortfalls and work conpleted way over an estimated deadline.
-
Its sad to see a builder that does great work at reasonable prices getting a bad reputation over communication shortfalls. Unfortunately, it happens everywhere, in all different trades. I've never had any complaints with Matt though.
-
Finding O-rings should be easy. Check out this company. http://www.ohiovalleygasket.net/products/
-
Dez this builder is 6 hours round trip from my house if I woulda had to wait 2 more weeks I was driving down and picking the parts up myself completed or not.
-
O rings were included after a week I finally get an answer to a question that takes five seconds to spit out! Hallelujah!!! An answer coupled with attitude about how I'm being unreasonable by mentioning my patience is wearing thin regarding this question and that I need an answer ASAP. You get what you pay for hopefully the work is good cause to this point the time frames quoted and met and customer service regarding questions has been "run around" like at best. Jerry didn't even do my engine work and made time to answer an email in great detail regarding my jetting the same day I sent it. Lesson learned by this guy right here!!
-
Add in good communication and customer service to that tony and still pick 2. Sad but true.
-
Cheap, Good, Fast... you can only pick 2!! (Y) ;D
-
No offense buck. We all have shared the frustration your having at one time or another. I remember a thread where some guy sent expensive parts to a builder & waited over a year for his stuff, that was on the old hq..
-
Fantastic but neither halls or Carl did my work. Not trying to be a dick though I'm sounding like one I'm just super frustrated at this point so please don't take offense.
-
when halls cut my head he included2 sets, same with Carl for my 250
-
Right that's what I'd assume but I haven't gotten a yes or no if they were included or not. Funny something that simple (coupled with the month longer than expected to complete the work) has me really pissed off add in the 3 day delay from when I was told my parts were shipped out to when they were actually shipped out. I'm beyond frustrated and beyond pissed off. This is my rant sorry. So lets say hypothetically they weren't included, anyway I could order them wothout having my head to measure diameter? And if so where do the best o rings come from?
-
Typically builders include o-rings. Typically.
-
I've waited a week for a response from MHR who cut my head for o rings on whether I need to buy a set or if a set is included and if I need to buy a set what kind what size and where can I get them from. So my frustration level is through the roof I'm trying to make deadlines with my build to make it to races and **** like this is throwing wrenches in my plans not to mention the roughly month turnaround on the machine work turned into 2.5 months. The price of the work was phenomenal verdict is still out on quality as my parts that were supposed to have shipped Friday didn't go out until yesterday so I still don't have them. Anyone that could point me in the right direction as it pertains to buying o rings I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
