Also running yfz shocks on mine, i did have to spin the springs waayyy down to install them onto the bike because they are longer. I run them soft, they work great!

jumpin- yes, you def. can run the shocks. I ran a pair of YFZ450 shocks on my oem 89 LT250R front end. I did have to grind a bit off the top, as well as the bottom, but it was minor. The shocks performed well, a little stiff, though Im on the lighter side (165-170lbs) . But they will 100% work!!

I was wondering if anyone has installed stock YFZ 450 shocks on their 87-92 LT250R? I have seen posts on other forums where people have done this but usually with +2 aftermarket A-arms. I read somewhere that it should work with the stock a-arms, which is what I am trying to do. I also read that the bottoms of the shocks should bolt to the A-arms with no modification and the top of the shock needs to be grinded down a little bit to fit in. Is this true? I just got a really good deal on a set of YFZ shocks and I would like to install them on my 250. Any advice would be appreciated.
