I was told any time you move the reed away from the intake passages you lose intake signal.
-
No, still has the same intake velocity into the cage.
-
So if a spacer moves the reed petals away from the piston, would that possibly increase reed petal life?
-
Don't forget to run a slap chop..... Your gonna love my nuts! :))
-
I just run 50/50 gas and diesel fuel. Diesel has more BTU's energy per gallon. It allows me to bump up the compression to 30:1 and elimenates detonation. And I get 70 mpg up comp hill pulling my 5th wheel. This only works if you run a Roost Boost.
-
I use 5 hour energy. its good for 5 hrs. D?
-
All that power without AMP-LINK means diddly!
-
I run magnetic clamps on the fuel line. JC Whitney said it will increase hp and fuel economy by 20%. Dude, they were soooooo right! I know it works because now my clutches are slipping, they start slipping right before my 4th gear powerband kicks in!! My next mod will definitely be the Tornado in my intake +k2

Missing hp are complemented by madness O0
-
Q2W used diamonds.
It's super effective!
-
I always pour my fuel over diamonds and filter into my tank. It's super effective. adds 15HP. My Swag and Yolo stickers add an extra 20HP.
complete thread derail in 3....2.....1 D?

Some guy in Ohio that was from Kentucky! Lol
-
Ya'll don't know nuttin bout anything till ya gets one of them thar unobtainium green powerbands ya'll be smarter than a hand full of hair if ya do's. Theys given ya at least tirdy horsepowers moors than any other ole powerband >:D A quote from some guy in Ohio --> :)

hey my tri z 250 has a boost bottle...maybe that is why i can edge out a lt250r -->
-
I'm way past split fire plugs.
Here's my cylinder head with the new laser fired spark plug design on the test stand:

--------> Hands out Split Fire plugs to all!
-
Boost bottle is a much better power, ummmm, gainer.
-
Grk do you have one of the +4 horsepower "rippin chit" stickers too? You're missing out on some extra ponies if not!
-
i run the reed spacer with roost boost and it is fast..
-
;D
snake oil x2
-
Thanks Jerry! So basically snake oil on a 500.
-
A reed spacer can do the following:
1. Increases crankcase volume.
2. Moves the tip of the reeds further away from the piston.
3. On some engines it moves the reed away from the boost port so that the reeds backstops do not hinder flow into the boost ports.
4. It makes the carburetor not fit the stock air box properly.
For the LT500:
It will help the intake flow a little on a stock cylinder with a full skirt piston. A stock engine does not need additional intake flow until the engine is modified.
On a ported cylinder that has the correct shaped intake port and piston skirt modification the reed spacer is not necessary.
My dyno testing shows that the reed spacers on MY modified engines does not hurt the power nor does it help the power.

snake oil IMO
-
More room for a bigger carb.
-
87 use one. 88+ no need.

Is anyone running a reed cage spacer? Also what are the advantages to running a cage spacer if any? Curious as it pertains to a small reed motor.
