This is what we see with the AFM Base Gaskets.
.018" AFM compressed thickness compresses to .011" to .014"
032" AFM compressed thickness compresses to .017" to .020"
060" AFM compressed thickness compresses to .029" to .034"
We machine the base gasket surface of the cases to make them flat and sqauare. When the cases are flat the AFM gasket does not require ANY sealant.

I had deep grooves in my basket and my clutch hub and no metal shavings.

Depending on how deep the groves in the basket are, you can file them down. It will make the clutch smoother. If the fingers are really torn up you'll need a new basket.

I have other problems to worry about now. Found metal shavings in the oil. Removed the clutch cover and the primary gear nut came loose and that rattle f-ed up the clutch basket. I have never seen a clutch basket grooved so bad and never seen metal shavings from a clutch basket like this. I torqued that nut and used red lock tight. It's left hand thread too. WTF
I will be using green lock tight. **** won't come loose again

The .018 AFM gasket compresses to .012". My gasket was .016" compressed. There is no reason for me to get .032" gasket. Shipping is free

Gasket measures .016". My squish was .052".
You still did not clarify if your current gasket measures .16 under compression or not.
Do yourself a favor and get both the .18 & the .32. that way you can adjust as needed and shipping will much cheaper for 2 in one shot VS 1 each time.
Keep in mind under compression the sizes quoted by Cometic IS NOT the sizes you'll end up with, the .18 will be around .11 (if I remember right) and the .32 will be around .17-.18
watch out, silicone will get eat by gasoline ! i never use sillicone on a 2 stroke. only Three Bond Liquid Gasket 1194...
And neckrofiliak is right don't get the 1211 unless you want it to work and not have any leaks
I've used this stuff for 3 years now and not a single leak, this is the ONLY thing JH uses for cases. (Y)

paper gaskets can blow out under the intake. 250's and 500's. afm gasket is the way to go.
pretty sure cometic will make any thickness gasket you need, not just 3 sizes.

I had the same problem on mine.I used the same gasket as you, and I used little yamabond and mine leak to.Mine has just a little lip on the left side of the case thats raised. I used a little epoxy then used oem gasket and havent had a problem with it since.

I suggest you never use silicone based gasket anywhere gasoline goes ...
check what gasoline does to three bond 1211 vs 1194

What is the compressed thickness of your current gasket and what is/was your squish measurement?
If the gasket is off, squish it with a pair of calipers.
? ? ? ? Post up these measurements and I'll try and steer you in the right direction as the AFM's compress under load and cometic has no idea how this works much less what you'll actually need.
I've used the 1184, like I said get the 1211

Yes there is an afm gasket. There are 3 different thicknesses.

I just wanted to order the gasket before I take it apart. WPS doesn't offer 1211 anymore but I didn't use 1104 I used 1184. I got it confused. 1184 is the replacement for 1211

What is the compressed thickness of your current gasket and what is/was your squish measurement?
If the gasket is off, squish it with a pair of calipers.
Also use 1211 not 1104 for the base gasket and use ultra gray under the intake where the halfs meet.

So I just relized that my base gasket is leaking under the intake. I noticed the case halfs had a lip hang over where they met under the intake. I applied 1184 on the gasket in that spot when I assembled the top end and didn't think much about it. I have my head squish set up with this windarosa base gasket. My question is which cometic gasket thicknesses is going to be the same? I plan on filing that lip off the case and replacing the gasket with cometic
