Buckeye- I went chrome because of cost. I didnt really want powder coat on the swinger as i wanted a little more shine--Polishing was more than chrome. Everyone around here wanted 100 or so to polish and I got it chromed from a shop I have used for 25 years for only 80.00---makes no sense as it has to be polished before its chromed?

Take your time... get a rolling chassis first... then motor/electrical/carb, etc...
Use a torque wrench, look in the manual... loc-tite what needs to be loc-tited... I like to put a little anti seize on every single bolt that doesn't get loc-tite...
But I would start by getting a roller first (Frame, stem, front-end, rear-end, wheels, then the rest...)

I'm right there with you same stage. Waiting to order all my bearings and ball joints and tie rods. Once I get all of those gonna put the front end together. Gotta take my swinger apart and give it a good cleaning and sanding and painting for my axle only think I went cheap on by not having it powder coated still might powder coat it though.
Why chrome on your swinger and how much is the chrome bath costing you if you don't mind me asking? And I also agree so happy the site is back up and running I'm addicted to this site!

OK Frame is off to powder to be powder coated and swinger is being chromed. Getting is apart was straight forward--took lots of pictures to remember what goes where. I hope :)
What is the best order of sequence of major components to re assemble. specifically the motor, rear swing arm, and rear shock.
Glad to see the site up and running again.
