I made the reed ports bigger and the reed it self i trimed out as big as my port hole.I didnt get a picture.I took one but the camera messed up and didnt get to load, Now their in my bike.Well it made a big difference on top end. Today was the first time i open it up after the rebuild. Needs some tuning but was a big difference over all.I would recommend who ever has one port it makes a big difference atleast on the butt dyno test.

Well i put my stock cage on with 927 castor. It has smoked like heck. Well bought some new pilots jets was going to re jet it. Well i got the Rad valve done and put it back on.Now its not smoking as bad at all, also running alot crisper. Guess their is a big difference in the carbon reeds over the replacement boyesen. Can't wait to run it some tomorrow,

I havent put it back on yet but it looks good.It ran good with the scp before. But it was weak on the top end. So hopefully this fixes it.

I did one a while back for ratterrier, hes been happy with it. I have been going to do another and do some testing to see of it hurts top end. For a low and mid tuned machine I think there good. Just don't have the ree tip area to flowat higher rpms.
I'm pretty 'HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY' with it. I dont have a V Force cage to compare it to. I went from stock porting, pro circuit pipe, 39PWK and a stock Rad Valve to Barlett Porting, Shearer Pipe, 39PWK and a ported rad Valve and she rips now!! Before it was a GREAT trail quad with all the low n mid I had but I got my tail kicked on the drag strip by everyone....even a couple over weight 440ex thumpers.....the sand dunes call for a screamin setup on a 250 and thats what I have now and I love it!! My buddies with the 400s, 440s and piped 450s.....they dont like it so much tho. =)

Here is a couple more pic after both side are ported. A few of the pics are were i widen out the ports. to make more flow. Then the last pic shows it against a stock boot.
-
Yea was thinking about open the reed tip up some. atleast make it wider to left and the right sided of the cage. I got it under cut under on the sides lips. Probably come make the hole 1/4 inch bigger on both side atleast make them square. For a better high end flow.

carl do you need one to test with, i think i have 1 or 2 of them here.

i have do the same on my boyesen rad , i like it because it bolt right to my 38mm carburetor,
-
You can see how much i took off the right side of it. I finished it up last night. Will get another pic after i polish it. But it is bigger now then the stock boot and about the same volume as the stock cage. So should have a great deal more flow then it did. I know everyone say V force 2 is the way to go, But i had a set on my Nephew Blaster, it ran alright. But when i put the stock cage in with Boyesen replacement reeds. That Blaster ran so much better with the boyesen then the V Force 2 .

I took my Rad valve off for better flow. Went back to stock cage with Boyesen replacement reeds on it. I dont think it runs any better now then it did,I think it ran better before. But i have started porting the rad valve out to give it more flow and volume. But here is a couple pic of what ive done so far.
