Title: Re: I need a new lt500 stator
Post by: SBLT500R on March 12, 2013, 07:48:14 pm
i have a couple stators i dissasembled and cleaned up.  both have new sheathing and one has new plug ends.  pm me if your interested in one.

lt250r and lt500r flywheels interchange.  newer ones have the large hub.

85-86 lt250r stators are different than the newer ones, but the newer stators will fit the 85-86.  the 85-86 has a larger stator plate.  so 85-86 only, 87-92 250 and 500 will fit all.

theres a guy near me who rewinds stators.  well he did the last time i needed one rewound, think it was begining of last year.  could do any stator.

If the flywheels are the same on the  LT250 an LT500, then would it be safe to assume the stators are interchangeable also? I seen a oem LT250 stator for $60 on feebay

Not many places to have stators rewound any more. Ricky Stator used to, now just sells them rewound. Baja Designs only rewinds certain stators and LT250/500 they don't. I'd like to get mine rewound if anyone knows of a place that still does it   <1>

People have had problems with the rickey stators.  Go Oem, I think stators can be reapired and rewound for more output fairly cheap.
