Yeah I had about a quarter cup of sand in the tank that would choke it at wide open throttle. Now she hauls. Just put a sway bar on it this week. Suppose to have races here tomorrow. Going to go look at the track now to see if it will happen. You guys running at Sacandaga tomorrow?

We built an 18 hole golf course 20 years ago. It went out of business for a couple years so we rode the **** out of it. Lol. If they ever run Vernon downs again I will be petitioning for a Quad pro class.  You get your bike all figured out?

the track is a 4/10 mile oval that they run big and small block dirt modified on.Its a newly resurfaced  clay track the last time they raced quads there was in the 90s.I run american racer tires medium or hard compound because its too expensive to burn up a $200 set of rear tires in one day. If you play with air pressure you can  get good bite and still save your tires. I use pretty much the same set up as on ice. There are new pictures of the track on there website./www.albany-saratogaspeedway.com/

At the Ec track you want hard tires. Its usually so tacky in the beginning it will let anything hook. Once it starts to groove up you need a harder tire or you will burn through a set in an afternoon.
Now Saratoga is a differnt animal. Its a stone dust horse track that will have a huge cushion. You want a medium soft compound tire. A cushion track won't burn up a set of tires like clay will. After that its all test and tune. I can tell you a cusion track will run a similar set up to ice. But, with that setup on clay unless the track is dry and slicks out you will be so tight you'll flip in the turns.

I've yet to make the $500 purchase on a dirt set-up. I would def like some input from the fellow Flat Trackers.

So I see that Electric city riders is going to run at Albany/Saratoga speedway in May and since that sits down the road from the jobsite I'm on and I am going to be here in may I figure...why the hell not, right? whats another couple of bills in flat track tires???!!! So the question is what do you guys use for tires when you run at ECR?
