You know that was it!! They did pretty well they grabbed 300 bucks for a less than perfect seat. glad you got a new one bet that sets the bike off! Nothing better than new oem seats and plastics!!!!!
-
I saw this on ebay, pretty sure this was my seat. Over $300, LOL

The scene from Ace Ventura where hes dressed up as the UPS guy comes to mind. lol
-
good to here it is working out for you
-
Awesome news and great customer service.
-
Good to see this happen :)

ok, good news! I got a call from the dealership, they said a new seat is on the way! The guy I spoke to was apologetic, he told me the same thing Yuzuha32 mentioned in this thread, that the original packing is crap, he is going to pack the **** out of it this time. So I should have it in a couple of days.
-
I had a issue with a motor that was shipped to me. They droped it, broke the case. Said it was boxed wrong, but they TOOK it in that box (and my money to ship).
I had to file with BBB. After that UPS called me with a $$ check to make the claim go away
-
Thanks guys. They left a note on Thursday saying they stopped by, so I took Friday off so I wouldn't miss the guy. Spent the whole day by the door. I had thought the driver would actually inspect the package and make the determination right then and there, nope, he just picked it up and took it with him. So now I can't wait to hear that the claim was denied. Still waiting for Yuzuha32 to provide info so I have another place to buy from.
-
Man that's too bad, their Cant be to many new factory seats left and those retards had to screw it up
-
i think ups sucks but usps is worse, they never help you out when it comes time to find a lost package. they are necessary evils IMO.
-
That sucks
-
Yuzuha32 sold me a brand new seat last year and it reached all the way overseas perfectly packed and no damage. It sits on my zilla never sat on or ridden ;D I think I paid like $398 with free shipping to Florida.

that seat would have been 402 shipped from me and it would have been packaged properly, suzuki uses fairly cheap packaging on the seat and the way it's shaped requires extra padding and reinforcement in certain areas or they will always show up damaged.
good luck with your insurance claim. hopefully UPS doesn't ask to inspect the package because there is a crush rating they will look for and the suzuki stock packaging doesn't have that rating. so the claim may be denied. We had to learn the hard way.
Well who are you? Let me know and I may buy another one from you, because I have a feeling the claim may be denied. UPS did say they will send someone to look at it. You can see in the pics how the seat came through the box. Now, I ordered some other parts along with the seat, so the guy did have to open the box, but he did pack lots of bubble-wrap in there. However, there was none at the edges of the seat, so I was pretty disappointed.
When I spoke to the guy I didn't get the feeling that they would help beyond the claim, so if it gets denied I won't be buying from them anymore. But it's good to read that you actually pack stuff properly, so give me your details, I may need a new place to buy from.

i got completely f'd when i bought my 500 from something like this.
The crate it came in was completely destroyed. looks like the crate gave way while on a fork lift because i could see where the forks gashed my swinger, bent my rear brake hydraulic push rod, ripped a massive hole in my seat, and busted my plastics. it was HSF Holland. they said there was no way to value the bike so i got nothing.
Damn dude, you must have been mad as hell! Sorry to hear that. Any more to the story?
-
I hope for the insurance claim you bought the one that costs $452
Nah, I'm an honest guy, I listed it on the claim form for what I paid, $415. Or is that not what you meant?

I'm assuming you didn't have to sign for it, that they just dropped it off, that sucks man.

I bought a new OEM seat from Motorsports Super Center for my 'zilla, just got it last night. There are holes in the box and of course, a tear in the seat corner. Now I have to file a claim and hope I don't get F'd. Almost makes me want to buy from my local dealer so I can look at stuff before I pick it up
