Thanks for the pics of the build you took a lot of care building your zilla. I have a good idea where to put the gussets now. Also Great advice on the circle track parts supplier. Speedwaymotors had them for 3.99 for a 25 pack of 1.5" and 4.99 for 25 1.75" the shipping is $15.00 but is still farley cheap for 50 gussets I think. I will try to call a local shop tomorrow and see if I can get them a little less but i doubt it. Do these sound like the right size or did you guys use bigger ones.

im lucky my home back in socal i can just swing by kar tec or kar craft and pick up gessets same day.but i was going to try to stay on the "pretty" side of fabrication.i kinda wanted an excuse to go over the top and do my own.weather it be notching tubing and welding it in the junctions or using 2 pieces of 3/16th steel to for a triangle in the corners.im sure there has to be someone whose spent effort in this area of the frame.

Any circle track or racing chassis supply house will sell them summit, jegs, speedway, lane automotive etc. I like the light weight one's with the lightening hole. The 250 and zilla need gussets in the same spots, so mitch's pics are a good starting point.

summit does have them but shippinmg cost more than the parts.
there was another company that sold them, i cant remember who it was, maybe someone will chime in who they are.

I got my gussets from the local racecar shop (roll cage gussets) they were only $1 or so a peice.
That is what I did. There were a few spots that could have used a custom cut gusset but the 90 degree pre-fab ones got most of it.

snap. Summit racing sells those crazy cheap in packs of 10 or 20. But im just a stupid Canadian BMXer w no CNC machine, why listen to me

Great topic I too would like to strengthen my frame within the next month or so before I powder-coat it.

So far ive found a couple pics of a gusset job that mitch did on here but it was of a zilla and not a 250.
also staying true to the saying there is more than one way to skin a cat i would like to see some pics of other gusset jobs or get ideas.since this is a known weak point of out frames could we maybe get this stickied??
I got 3 more months till im back in the states throwing my parts back together to make a quad!!!! cant wait! but i gotta make her strong if im gonna ride it like its supposed to be rode!
